I have just about worn my set Falken Wildpeak AT3W 265/75/16 to the point that I will be replacing them in the spring. They have been great tires - I put a set on my wife's 2018 4Runner too. We take her rig on highway trips (mostly) and mine on off-road adventures, I'm most likely going to get a set of Falken Wildpeak MT01 255/85/16

I ran a set of 265/70/17 Duratracs before the Falkens. The Duratracs were fine at first but were louder as they wore and sucked on wet pavement. My experience is that the Falkens are better tires for less money.

Yeah I swapped out the suspension for 3rd gen fronts and added a leaf in the rear so I suspect ill be ok with the 265s - I do like the skinnies, but don't really need E load tires, so feel like I might as well go for a same diameter tire thats a little lighter. Figure the increased width is probably a wash for the kind of driving I do.

Now if they made a decent 255/85r16 in an AT at around the 48-50 lb mark... I'd be all over that.

Just a couple of thoughts to the thread.

We love our STMAXX tires on STOCK wheels for the 2019 DCSB.

    Here are some shots....

Fronts did not stuff at all....The only time we had and issue was way off camber and dumped into a hole. They fill up the wheel wells and ZERO concerns for a CMC. I MAY/MAY not bang something on the front wheel well but 95% *yes not 99 or 100% of the time, we have a very slight rub.

EDIT....and to the folks that say the ST/Maxx wont fit in the spare area...I had a bet with the Tire folks....Yup it fits! Tight but no issues after 1000+ miles on fire roads and other things ;)

    Some other shots for these.

Not perfect pics but they work.

Hope these help folks here on the site.

Want to start taking bets that skinny tires go mainstream?

I didn’t even notice the skinny tires on the Last Line of Defense video.

I'm guessing you posted before even bothering to read the thread, as evident by the fact that 7 posts above yours is a post with a 3rd gen running 255/80R17's on stock sized wheels (SEMA Pro's).

Reread those posts, not one has all 3 specs that I’m asking about.

Damn, Canadians may be polite but I guess not intelligent EH? Maybe look back through the other 172 pages of this thread to see if you find what you are looking for........

Sema's are NOT a stock sized wheel for a third gen OR. Different Offset and different rim size.

Pretty sure he said the posts before mine, not the 172 pages. But yeah I am intelligent. I don’t have the time to sit on the computer all day looking up truck stuff

Didn't say they were stock for a 3rd gen OR, just that they were a stock size as they came from the factory on 5th gen 4R's. Also according to his sig he has a 2016 Limited, pretty sure those came with 18's.

Perhaps using the search thread function may be beneficial for you. Or better yet asking your question on the FB group, I'm sure they'd be much nicer about giving you the answer you're looking for.

.. but you posted my truck in your comment?
Which is what I was referring to in my response, which your comment as posted alluded to...

You're right the limiteds do come with 18's, but the guy is asking about fitting a 255/80-17 on a stock rim, so who knows what the hell is going on here.
