I don't post in here much but thought I'd ask my fellow
Pennsylvanians first. I had to get ACL surgery were they replaced my ACL with a donor and had to do a little work to my Meniscus. I was just wondering if anyone had to do the same or similar and how long the recover time was, I'm on day 2 after surgery. I work for a tree company that clears for power lines so fairly physical job. I'm starting to go alittle crazy been off for 4 weeks already. I tore it at work so I'm getting paid thank God but want to get back to work. Any experience with the same or similar and advice would be great to hear.

I am sure you were quoted a time frame .

    How old are you?

Going back to soon is never good but I think most of us have at some point

Then we are all different quite a lot different to go back to sit in front of a computer then doing tree work.

Been there when I was 20 back in those days we climbed rather then bucket trucks.

    best of luck

I'm 47 and no climbing anymore thank God, we got young kids for that all bucket and ground work. What they said was a little all over the place 6 weeks maybe light duty, but that's kinda funny not to much light duty to do lol, to 3 to 6 months till fully healed.

My ex had almost the same surgery done, granted she was like 23 at the time so faster healing. She was off work for 2 months after surgery.

Thanks for the info, been Googling info but like hearing from people that went through it or know someone who has. If I can get back in 2 months I'll be happy, would like it sooner but I guess better not to push

My buddy had something similar, not sure if exact same thing or not. He was younger, late 20’s when he had it done. He went on to play rugby for one of the USA travel teams.

If you look at the NFL players that have acl’s done, they often come back stronger afterwards. Just follow the dr.s advice and work the rehab.
