I have a 21 OR on order withOUT the LED headlight option, but it does of course have the standard option coded “LF” which states

“LED Daytime Running Lights and Foglights”

According to how you interpret the English language, that could mean that it has LED DRL and just some sort of fogs rather than no fogs, or, it could mean that it has LED DRL and LED fogs”.

First question is to get clarity on that. Will my OR have LED fogs?

Second question is curiosity around all the different fog light verbiage by model on the Toyota website:

SR: Regular DRL and no fogs
SR5: Regular DRL and “integrated fogs”
Sport and OR: LED DRL and “integrated WIDE ANGLE fogs”
Option on OR and Sport with LED headlight pack: LED DRL and black bezel LED fogs

So I’m guessing the wording of this last one sort of answers my first question that I am mistaken thinking the OR fogs are LED standard. If that’s the case, it’s interesting that there is a different “wide angle” fog just for sports and OR.

You get regular bulb fog lights, the OEM led fog lights are like $100 new and the pro style fog lights are $350 around here used that I have seen. I never bothered to look them up new because I am fine with my LED ones.

LED fogs come with the New 2020+ Fully LED headlights with the exception of the Pro models which have their own fogs.

Thanks. Had my hopes up for some OEM led fogs given the vague wording lol.

I feel like maybe I should shop for some of the “switchback” style fog bulbs that let you use white, yellow or yellow white blend. I think somebody makes ones like that. Wonder if they’d be a disaster in the reflector assembly of the OEMs though, since they aren’t made for LED?

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
The internal reflectors are different for LED units vs conventional bulbs.

My 2021 OR has "Optional Equipment" "LG - LED Headliths with LED DRL + Black Bezel LED Foglights" This is a $485.00 option.

Yes they will be a disaster even worse than putting LEDs in the reflector fogs. Those switchback ones work by using multiple emitters of different colors which means that no emitter is located in the correct place. There is good reason no reputable companies sell those. This thread covers nearly all the LED fogs for a Tacoma and how to do it correctly. I’d highly recommend the Diode Dynamics SS3s linked at the top. The Toyota LED fogs are in there as well:

I think you can buy the rav4 led fogs and swap them in.
