Just read up on removing the kdss system. Did not realize how easy it is to remove the sway bars and strap the pistons out of the way, then in theory should be easy to reinstall sway bars at a later time. Not planning on removing them because it’s my wife’s daily, but it’s good to know it’s easy once she gets a different daily.

Fronts you’ll have to swap lower control arms so you have the mounts for standard end links. I dunno about the rear.

If I removed the sway bars there wouldn’t be any going back on.

I’m thinking about trading my truck for a 10-13 GX as a daily. What is wrong with me. :bananadead:

A lot, you should see a therapist. I hated the 460.

meh I like ours minus the uncomfortable front seats. The more I drive mine the more i hate the seating position. The gas pedal is in an awkward position that makes my leg bend too much.

I too looked at older GX 460s. The advice from long time Lexus technicians to me.....don't get one unless it has really good service history. Engine longevity wise, the 460 is no comparison to the 470.

there is nothing to service other than oil changes and basic stuff. Maybe the timing cover if it’s leaking.

it’s got a timing chain so no worries there.

Correct. But make sure it's had those oil changes.

Timing chain guides are a concern as well.

Is there a best place to get the spare tire tools? Historically, I've used Rockauto for those parts. Partsouq?

Howdy y'all. I'm over on the Tundra site. One of the Tundra guys gave me this link to check out. I have a 2010 460.
I still have my Tundra, the wife has a T4R and my boys drive Tacomas.
