Mud Flaps: Yes or No?

I have Rek Gens and Im not super impressed. I mean, the spacers are just pieces of fuel line... And becaue how they don't really suck up tight against the fender, I do get tire rub on the fenders in reverse, full-lock, in a bump. So, they are okay, but not sure they were worth the $100 price point.

 

hey here you go. They flex but to be quite honest I’m still getting rocks/gravel pinging the truck. Better than nothing though.

edit: I’ve got rubbing on the driver side so I need to trim the little tubes they give you.

 

I removed mine when I installed bigger tires. The steps take some abuse from the front tires but nothing they can't handle.

I went with some RokBlokz. The front ones can be cut so they work with the stock fender trim, but don't interfere with oversized tires.

Standard size. The fastening points on the
flaps are slotted, so there is some flexibility in the mounting position

 

Mudflaps, yes. Gives an added ruggedness.

 

I bought the Rekgens Black Friday. Hopefully they work with my lift/tires. I hate when trucks throw rocks everywhere.

 

Had them until one got torn off while wheeling. Took the rest of them off and now I don't have that problem.

 

Have RekGens laying on my bed and was going to put them on today. Shouldn’t take long

Went with the Rek Gen's. Running 285's and get the occasional rub. Clearance is mighty tight.

Seems like a fair amount of space in there to hold mud snow and cause rust

 

One thing that was odd was that the instructions said to use the short spacer on the front and the long on the rear. But,The gap was big on the front and smaller on the back so I reversed them. Fit much better.
