Well the instructions finally came through online , Simple install works great with the stock key fob . Push lock button 3 times , park lights come on , truck starts . walk up to truck click unlock get in insert key 2 clicks to ign. on position step on brake and drive away ! Shuts off after 15 min. run time unless key takes over .

So far no warning light. I haven't been on the freeway really since then to try the cruise but the crash warning still works. Some idiot slammed on their brakes and that got tested.
    Edit:
Just took a short drive on the interstate, no issues with adaptive cruise.

Installed a tailgate mat, after a close call with kissing the pavement.

I made a $35 tailgate cutting board/table insert out of HDPE marine board. It has options to be reconfigured as needed. Made to fit in my chuck box:

Some of them you can reach in from the bottom to pinch with long nose pliers. That and lots of prying with two plastic trim tools did the trick for me... in the summer. I avoid doing plastic work below 60F.

You're more likely to break the chrome caps because they're brittle.

I believe that the 2021 seats have been re-designed. That 10-way seat you have is witchcraft.:D

I did watch a video first. I got all the plastic pins out. I just got frustrated with the tabs that you have to release that are under the step pad. Maybe I can watch a few more videos by someone else and get a better idea. There are loads of tacoma videos on YouTube.

Well it was in the low 50s today. There isn't likely many days over 60 till spring. Maybe I should just put them on a shelf for now.

It is a lot less hassle if you remove the whole bumper rather than trying to maneuver inside the bumper to remove the caps.

Not a mod for the truck but for your hands. I can put $200 in grocery's in 2 of these totes (lots of meat lol). They fold up, stow really good. Great for camping. And you can open a phucking door without 10 walmart bags on both hands.
