They are Lightforce 170 Strikers. On a straight stretch of road, I can see signs over 2 miles away being lit up. Worth the money, and they aren't at the cheaper end of the spectrum at over $350 a pair. They have saved me twice from hitting moose that I probably wouldn't have seen otherwise.

If your into guns, the same company that makes these lights also makes Nightforce Scopes. If your into guns, and are familier with Nightforce, than you are aware of the quality of these lights.

    Another question....
How many of you guys have the factory tacoma fog lights AND use aftermarket fog lights also?

The first set of PIAA's I had were wired as drivings lights and could only be used with the high beams (PA laws). I work 2nd & 3rd shifts, so I drive at night daily on those shifts - but I rarely use the high beams cuz there's just too much traffic. Therefore - the lights rarely got used.

So now, I'm thinking I'd get more usage from a set of fog lights to be wired with the low beams. Not to mention - I'd never argue having *too much* lighting and especially during snowy/crappy weather.

Is having two sets of fog lights totally cheesy? Or do folks do it all the time? Not that it matters to me - I thought I'd ask in case there's some hidden no-no that I wasn't aware of.

I have the stock fogs and for a while only had the one additional set of lights. But then I got my new light bar that had two more tabs,......so you know I had to fill them in.:bananadance:

    Finally got some lights installed!!
These are the PIAA 540 fog lights. I picked these because they fit in there nicely at 5" in diameter (1.75" smaller than the 520's) and tad bit cheaper.
I need to fine-tune the aim yet.
They are wired to come on anytime.
The switch is a factory toyota part ordered
    http://www.rallylights.com/hella/switches_illuminated_rocker.asp
At $14 and some change after shipping. Not bad....

I got my hands on PIAA 510 super white lights and plan on putting them in the standard fog locations. Has anyone ever put in the yellow fog bulb into one of the super white housings?? I know the only difference is the lens and bulb when you purchase the PIAA fog lights, but I'm curious what the yellow bulb would look like with the super white lens.
