tires for my Taco...

ok...here's the deal, eventually i want to lift my Taco, (no more than 3").

i was wondering if there is a beffy-looking all season/all terrain tire out there that i can run on a stock suspension that will work well in snow as well as on the reg pavement...(sorry if that comes off redundant). i'd hope to get a tire that will look good before and after i ligt it, all the while not rub or interfere with the wheel well before i lift the truck.

does such a tire exist...?

I have seen the one picture you have and you have the crew cab and long bed so proportions would look even further off if you kept 265s on there after a lift. I would recommend doing the 3" lift and throwing 33's under it at the same time. They wont fit now tho. Most may be against this also, but you can do some really shitty like $300 spacer lift for the time being and swap it out when you have the money to put a better 3" on your truck. Lastly, there is a wheels and tires section where I would've recommended posting this no big

p.s. I like BF's a/ts as well as pro comps but know nothing about snow

 

maybe some duratracs, they are beefy and do good in snow, or some terra grablers , or some BF all terrains, and on and on and on.

list goes on forever, but serach duratrac, alot of ppl like them, so u might too.

 

hmm...maybe i shall put them off for the time being. perhaps put my tax return towards tire/lift/regear...and the plot thickens.

 

You asked this question in the wrong forum. Had you checked the tires and wheel section, you'd see that this is one of the most commonly asked questions.

265/70/17 are the biggest tire you could get pre-lift. BFG AT or General Grabber AT2 are you two best options (not sure if they are sold in that size though).

And 265/70/17 are going to look small under a 3" lift.

 

I'd check out the Hankook DynaPro ATM's. Got a set for my taco and love em. Look great, fun smooth, with good traction and don't suck gas too bad. Check em out!

 

BFG AT and Nitto TerraGrapplers worked great in the snow for my old Disco.

IMO if you want to run 32-33" you should just wait til you have the parts to do your 3" lift. Aside from coilovers tires where the most expensive to get.
