Had my 2004 detailed today for the first time ever. When I got my 2020 TRD Sport, I had planned on selling this truck. But with only 90K miles on it and after today's detailing, I'm keeping it!

Wired up my switch panel today. Need to buy a couple more switch backs and build my wiring harness, but both ends of my bussman build are now complete.41751844-4B5F-4295-A0CD-6D915255C8F0.jpg DEE58058-A644-4A77-BF1A-EA41DB3AA69A.jpg
Thanks, I actually have a couple of those 1045’s laying around. They don’t fit in the stock locations without cutting, but I might just give it a shot anyways. 1648E90B-5285-4E56-98F5-4344FF7A8278.jpgWon’t be able to use the dust covers though.

Interesting, I wonder if those holes got smaller on 01-04? I definitely don't have those two rectangular blanks on the passenger side. At any rate, those are great chargers, and I wouldn't hesitate to drill out a bit more to make them fit.

I'm not a big dust cover guy on those things - seems to me that they just get in the way.

Switch panel looks great! Nice and clean.

    they've been soaking!

full transparency - I was using the jack under the ratchet handle to break the bolt loose (seemed like a good idea - I saw it on youtube :anonymous:) and should have been using an impact socket. Didn't even think about it until it snapped. I thought the sound was the bolt breaking free and not the socket!

Lol trust me I know the feeling that’s why I use impacts with anything suspension. With the right bar you can tear through chrome sockets like crackers lol

One of those rectangles houses the anti theft system’s glass breaking detector, which I’m skeptical of working. The other had a switch from the previous owner’s fog lights. I was kind of surprised that they didn’t fit. I don’t really think I want the dust covers, but the fact that they’re there makes me want to have the option I suppose.

Thanks! My goal always is to make stuff as clean as possible. That’s part of the reason I want to incorporate USB’s despite everyone’s suggestions of using plug ins as if I didn’t know that such a thing existed. :jerkoff:

Took the truck for a wild ride.
Went for a little ride on the way to cabin in Munds Park. Ice and snow on the road. Fortunately we were only going 45mph and no one around us. I was twisting the steering wheel as fast as I could to keep from going around in circles. Had the ole adrenaline jacked up to 120%!
Had to pull the the seat cover outta my ass crack after we stopped.

Finally figured out there the driver side clunk was coming from after installing my Kings. Looks like the coil is hitting the spindle a little during full lock.

Avoided disaster. Checkout where the hose clamp was. Has to be an artifact from the PO having the coolant flushed and I’ve been driving for close to 2 years without a camp on radiator hose. How did I not see this before?
