Mines dark too, it has 203,000 on it though. I don’t know anybody whose ever flushed it or changed it to be honest. I’d guess 1 in 1,000

The service guide has additional recommendations if you pull a trailer. If your brakes feel good I wouldn't worry. Nothing wrong with doing it though.

I searched TW before I posted here and some folks are flushing every 2 years which I think is excessive lol.

Really my only concern is rust that I cannot see until the components fail I.e. pistons, lines, master.

    I greatly appreciate the input!

    Nothing was salvageable.

    Exactly! Legally!

I've never done a brake fluid flush on any vehicle I've owned. :anonymous:

I think it's best done with a machine. Otherwise you are constantly pouring in new, pumping, and bleeding manually until it comes out new on all 4 corners.
I've bled my brakes when installing extended lines, but for a flush, I'd probably pay a shop with the machine.

Those same people are also waxing twice a month, which I feel is excessive.

In the house, yard, or farm, of course not. I got traps set now.

Out in the woods where they have not been identified as destroying property or being a threat to your residence, animals, or property, 100% yes.

Shooting coyotes damaging your property or a threat to you and yours, 100% agree. My family is trying to get one threading their dog. I took watch last weekend.

Out in the woods in a tree stand, for all you know is a Coyote that does none of that, fucking senseless loss of life in my opinion. That is killing to kill. No different than the deer hunters you just called out for doing it.

Yeah, I know I joke around and stuff, but killing for no reason/wanton waste is fucked up. I hope they find the person/persons responsible and prosecute accordingly.
    People suck.

It's 100% different from the fuckheads I called out because it's legal. We can agree to disagree; I'm not changing my mind and neither are you.

What does the OM say? I'd go by that.

Though, you could just wait till a rear line fails and the whole thing goes out on the road. Then you get new fluid anyway.

The glass is definitely half full with you. It’s a win-win!

I’m looking at the maintenance schedule and I don’t see anything regarding brake fluid intervals. I see everything BUT that. Diff oil, trans, plugs, lubricate shaft etc.

I’m 23% sure that’s a decapitated whitetail. Is that legal?

Didn’t think so. I must have interpreted someone else’s post wrong stating it was legal. I’m not the hunter of the fam I’m the collector :anonymous:
