I guess you're not one that pulls for Bama until they play Auburn, huh? I don't blame you... I'm not that kind of fan either, until an SEC team plays an out of conference team. I want the SEC to look good.

I think you'll get your wish. We just have to win one of the three SEC games coming up to make it, and FL is in a similar situation. The way La. State is giving up points recently, I think we'll wrap it up this weekend. Florida scares me a little.

 

That wouldn't bother me one bit. We've done fine this year w/ Gameday, but they've been a curse in years past. I hope they stay in Texas. Who carries that game? The Bama/La. State game is CBS, so I bet that gamdeday will be in Lubbock if the Tech/OSU game is on an ABC network.

 

No, I'm an auburn fan. I know they are good, just having a little trouble accepting they are no. 1. To be honest though, I don't think they are no.1 material. They play well consistently and I fear they will slip to a team like Florida who is balls to the wall the whole time now.

P.S. I find it really funny how Bama fans are coming out of the woodwork now.

 

Somebody mentioned that to me on Sunday, too. They quickly noted that they weren't talking about me, as I've been an outspoken fan as long as they could remember.

The same thing happened when Auburn turned the corner several years ago. When I was in HS there were plenty of AU fans to be sure, but when they started getting good it was like an explosion of AU flags and those stupid tiger tails on cars.

There's plenty of woodwork, with plenty of fans of plenty of teams hiding out in it.

I think we can both agree on this, though... No sympathy for ol' Phil getting the boot at UT.

 

I bet they will bring Game Day back to Lubbock. That game is soooo big. You guys looked super tough man. If you play like you did against Texas, I'm not sure we can pull it off in Lubbock. But regardless, it will be a good game.

 

Haha that is true. However he is one of the most winningest coaches of all time though. I guess all UT has got going for them now is good ol' pat summit.

 

I know the game is the big Saturday night ABC matchup with Herbstreit and Musburgur. You guys are tough and we will have to bring our A+ game to win. That would be bad ass if they brought game day back for the 2nd week in a row.

That wasn't the prettiest game, and damn it if I wasn't nervous as hell going into overtime, but an interception and a fantastic (TexasTech-like) catch later we're 10-0 and SEC West Champs, baby!

I don't know what would qualify as no.1 material then. Florida is good, but lost to Ole Miss at home. Florida is on fire now, and Florida vs. Bama will be a great game. However, Bama just seems to find a way to win. Plus, Bama is young and is gonna be hell to deal with for several years to come. Their recruiting is probably gonna be the best in the country as well this year. I'm not a Bama fan, but I'm a believer so far!

We'll have to wait and see... but the last time nobody gave Bama a chance to beat a team from florida we took Miami to the wood shed and took home our 12th national championship.

 

You kinda agreed with what I said, they always seem to "find a way to win" They don't look that awesome. Don't get me wrong they look great, just not awesome to me. Everytime I watch florida and catch myself saying things like "holy shit" or "damn tebow is sneaky". I guess we'll just have to see when florida plays bama. Ought to be one hell of a game. I can just hear the announcers now....

We're playing Mississippi State. It's hard to get up for Mississippi state, but they do have a 2-game winning streak against us (somehow)... and Coach says get up for them:

I wanted to turn around and PUNCH somebody after watching that! I'm so glad he's our coach, and I hope we can keep him happy for a long time.

Yup, maybe Knowshon and Stafford will stick around and we can give it another shot next year. Seems like Stafford is finally coming around to be a halfway decent QB.

 

yeh. i think we need to fire martinez, the def coordinator. We friggin' suck at defense this year.

The things that hurt stafford is that he tries to do TOOOO much. He has a great arm, one of the best. But, he doesnt always have to throw the deep ball.....just to over throw the guy. Take a shorter receiver and get 6-7 yds, geez.

AJ Green is awesome. I am looking forward to a couple more years with him!

 

He seems to have been doing that the past few games more and more which is great. I'm glad Massaqui finally decided to live up to his long lost reputation too. Gah, we had so much potential this year...
