What's there to do in KCMO? I really haven't found a reason to visit the center of the country before, but if there's something neat to check out, why not. Time to travel is while I'm young

One of my best friends is from Rolla and just bought a home in STL. I'd love to visit him when things settle down

    Hmmm.

We've got some good museums, the WWI musem is fantastic, but there's also the Nelson-Atkins art musuem, the Arabia steamboat up by the river, the science musuem at Union Station, the American Jazz Museum, etc.

Boulevard Brewing is supposed to be a great tour, although usually booked way out. We've got other breweries as well. The Roasterie coffee co does tours as well.

    Also, BBQ.

Missouri and Arkansas are surprisingly pretty in places for camping, although I haven't been in so long that I can't remember much (I lived here back in 2011-2012, but then moved away, and only came back a year ago).

I dunno. Its not super touristy town, which is kind of nice.

I've only been to STL a couple of times. Last time was on a work trip at my previous job. We went to visit a scrap yard, and the tech I was shadowing was a guy that spent 18 years on the homocide beat in Atlanta - And then his wife left him for a girl. He was...interesting.

Anyway, we went to lunch at this one random cafe in the middle of some industrial area and these old guys are makking comments about the pretty waitress. Then right there at the table, she just...flashes us. Weird as hell, the old guys spent the rest of the day making weird comments.

Then that night the customer took us to some pasties-only restaurant to try to get us youngin's to be uncomfortable. It didn't really work...

    Work trips are something. Sometimes.
