Jesus, that lower valance looks like it's lost the fight with 1000 curbs.

34C01641-2B56-47A3-AC0E-7E03C3E5B6F7.jpg ^That AAR CUDA doesn’t have the cool factory chrome exhaust pipes exiting out in front of the rear wheels. The only car I know of except it’s sister the T/A Challenger that came that way. That little detail and the two different size wheels front and rear from the factory is a pretty special thing you may want to leave as is during restoration. Looks to be a real AAR though with the infamous bow in the factory fiberglass hood.

For those unaware of what I’m talking about. This is factory exhaust on a 1970 AAR CUDA and 1970 T/A Challenger. Such a cool detail from the factory. I’m just saying, as rare of a detail and as cool as it it, why would anyone not keep it?

Those Trumpets are definitely a signature feature, gonna assume the people building the green one just liked the paint design.

The last year for the CUDA’

I had a 1971 CUDA. I bought mine from the original owners who were an elderly couple in their 70’s. She bought it new at the dealership just a mile from their house in Mission Valley / San Diego. Her only driving of the car was back and forth to work which was a 8 mile round about trip for 20 years. So, it being a California car and driven not that much it had zero rust when I bought it in 1994. She didn’t want to part with it but the old man insisted. I only had it for three years before an illegal backed into it without insurance. Crushed the right front fender and crinkled the door. He paid me $500 on a $3000 handshake and I never heard from him again. I bought a pair of gilled 1971 sight unseen original fenders out of Alabama that ended up being full of rust. Cost me $900 back then. Frustration set in and I needed money. Sold the car in the wrecked condition for more than I bought it for but sold the fenders for less. All in all I made out ok but wish I never sold that car. These days you can’t touch one without going bankrupt. When I had it few knew what they were. So many commented, nice Charger, or nice Challenger. The show Nash Bridges changed that. Once that show hit the airways in prime time the younger generations took notice. Then the auctions took over with the cars hitting stratosphere dollar amounts. Now everybody knows what they are and what they’re worth. I’m just happy to have had the opportunity to have owned one. They are such unique cars only owning one can you grasp what I’m talking about.

Yes I agree - I am too glad That I had the pleasure - Fantastic car . Several here I seen on the web for sale now that Covid but too too expensive . I would if I was still working full time and 15 years younger . Yes the Cuda was not appreciated much back then . We actually lived a dream and I agree with you . No one can take that away

The GT was a 340 and the ‘70 may have been? High performing high revving motor.
