I tried so hard for a bigger garage but the only way I could have done it was have it in the back yard
With a 350 ft drive. Very weird house lot and very little back yard. Nope..

Mine is kinda organized but with 4 empty tool boxes it takes up a lot of room.
So I’ll have lots of things to throw and move when all my work equipment comes home.
    I don’t need 3 or 4 of everything..

The running joke is my friend/roommate bought a garage and the house came with it. 35x35 built to store a 5th wheel camper. Has a furnace and we've been working on insulating the whole thing. 49008E93-827B-4356-9CD6-776FAF579F40.jpg

Currently packed for winter storage with four cars in there, three motorcycles, two snowblowers, a lawnmower. Three sets of wheels and tires, three toolboxes... it's too small for the two of us!
Since we ran out of space in the garage there's two motorcycles in the front entryway of the house as well. My spare Tacoma engine in the basement along with our sandblasting cabinet and makeshift paint booth.

    The cars inside are:
1976 MG Midget restoration project (mine)
1964 Austin Healey Sprite restored SCCA autocross car (his)
2019 Fiat Abarth 124 Spyder with many goodies for autocross (his)
1996 NA Miata daily/autocross build (his gf)

Makes me glad I invested in true winter tires this year, don't know why I went so long without them.

I convinced my better half to get winter tires last year, she thought they were a crock of bull until then. She's from OK originally so I can forgive it. After her first experience in the snow with them, she looked at me and said "I get it now."

    Haha...

Nothing today Michael. Just a few errands, decorate tree, some stuff around the house. Maybe sketch out my work table. I'll pick up the pine for the remaining racks tomorrow at Hammond. Much better product and prices than the big box stores.

I can certainly manage now for the type of things I'm making. I'm using dimensional lumber versus a lot of ripping, planing, etc. I can set up my new saws in my garage and hook up my shop-vac for dust control. My basement stairs are right off the garage as you enter the back hall/kitchen, so it's pretty easy access to bring all the cut pieces down for assembly. I am buying or building (might be cheaper to buy with lumber prices through the roof) some shelving in my garage (I think I mentioned that) to store all my big tools (getting tired of hauling those up & down the basement stairs). That'll free up some basement space....then I can look at what I have and do some re-arranging.
