What size hose are you running with the Porter Cable compressor? I mentioned 1/4" hose because Home Depot recommend 1/4".

Which hose is better rubber, PVC, Polyurethane?

The Flexzilla hose is bright green so hopefully no one trips over it.

 

With the stuff you do, you'll will a giant 220V compressor.

Eventually I want a big compressor but for now the smaller ones will do.

 

3/8". One seems to be rubber and the other is some other material...perhaps PVC.

I don't know what's best...that's probably like another "what's the best oil" topic.

 

Any issue with the 3/8" hose?

With the 3/8" hose will there be less air pressure at the end of the hose?

Would I need the 3/8" hose to run certain tools over the 1/4" hose?

 

I drove an hour to get to the dude and wouldnt bring a goldfish to him. Thats a bridge I dont mind taking out.

 

Never had an issue over 20 years. I don't know anything about 1/4" vs 3/8" and what's better for certain tools. Sorry.

 

I could work with another 30 gal but like I said two stage. For wood working I could use
Electric d a etc. the only thing in the future that would tax my unit would be a sand blast cabinet.
I do have a redneck solution.
I have another husky 30 gal that’s for the race trailer. Unfortunately it’s a single stage too but if I piggy back them I’d be ok for the cabinet. Just need hearing protection. Lol

My friend has old Craftsman 30 gallons plus air compressor, 220V. He use it for spray painting cars, sanding, among other stuff.

I know someone that ran a muffler shop. To run that place they put a 80 gallons compressor.

It still struggles if someone using the sandblasting cabinet and using the air tools at the same time.
