Only difference is I live on a main road, maybe 50 feet from the road and right down the street from an area known for porch pirates

You have to complain at every opportunity, as there are so many people that do not. Please take a pic with your cell phone and send an e-mail every, single, time.
It is the only way that things will change.
I'm currently in the logistics industry, and there is nothing more frustrating than getting the package within 50 ft of the destination only to have the driver fail at the critical point of delivery.

I’ve only seen the issue with their own drivers. Given their notoriously shitty work conditions in warehouses I’m sure the delivery drivers are dealing with the same shit.

Not to piss off any Fed Ex workers, but they have a worse reputation in my book. Case in point, a few days ago I had a recliner delivered by a single Fed Ex driver. there was no lift on the truck. I watched him just push the box out of the back of the truck, about a 2 1/2 - 3 foot drop. It slammed onto my snow covered, gravel drive way. Good thing I was home, otherwise it would have sat in the wet snow for hours. The box was tore in multiple place and looked like shit (the chair was supposed to be delivered on Monday, then Tuesday, then finally came on a Wednesday, so I guess it was on the truck for 3 days, getting pushed around and beat up). I walked up to the delivery driver and said the package looked like shit. He said, I just deliver it, then got in his truck and drove off. It's about 40-50 feet from the spot where he literally dropped the box to my door. The chair was heavy and I had a heck of a time getting it in the house. I guess they don't deliver to the door. Once I opened the damaged box there was fortunately no damage to the chair, thanks to the way it was packed. This is not my firs bad experience with Fed Ex.

Airbedz mod done! Inflates and deflates itself in like 30 seconds.

I guess I'm lucky, around here Fedex sometimes ships things in random directions across the country, but no one has ever mistreated my packages.

Of course being in the middle of nowhere seems to help.

I'd rank them UPS for speed
    USPS for Saturday
    Fedex dead last

We recently had a recliner delivered, two guys on the truck, asked where we wanted it setup, they wouldn’t let me sign the paperwork till I test drove the chair, Mrs P2W is happy my favorite 15yr old distressed recliner has been replaced

I may have drank too much and bought a violin last night.

Guess it's time to learn to play the violin.

If it was any other time of year, not during a pandemic, I probably wouldn’t care too much but because so many people are desperate right now I think it’s just bad to leave a package like that and lie on the delivery report

I wouldnt rush that. I never had that type of injury.
But if I'm not mistaken my brother had the the same injury as you and it took him close to three month before he went back to work.

I tore my ACL twice before I was 16. First time I rushed it and it didn't heal completely which lead to getting to do it again. It's cold outside and everything's closed anyway, probably the best time to be laid up and let it heal.

When I shattered my leg I didn't have a choice. Took me close to three years to learn how to walk again. Fun times. I no longer can run.

Worst part I was a cross country runner in my school days

Looks great Dennis! My only complaint with sleeping in the bed of the truck is trying to close the tailgate from the inside. Still have to do that with the flippac & it's a PITA.
Plan on doing that this afternoon.

Thanks. Yea, I was thinking a pull rope or pull handle might make it easier.
