For you guys monitoring at the outlet or obd port... Those numbers are usually a volt or so lower then the battery terminal. I never see more then 14.2v at the outlet but my multimeter reads 14.7 at the terminals.

So far when I have measured at the terminal it’s been an exact match to my meter in the outlet. I’ll probably do some more checks here though.

When I monitor the control module voltage in software it exactly matches my calibrated Fluke meter at the battery terminals. So there must be variances in the trucks.

Mine is 0.2v lower at the meter in the truck vs at the terminals.

I get exactly 0.2 volts difference between battery and charging cig port. I also monitor with VF and it is the same as well. The numbers I posted hold me at a solid 14.3-14.5 which is 14.5-14.7 at the battery

I have the same results! On 04B04 I have run those setting in 116* heat in Arizona and Cali no issue battery has shown no ill affects. Been running these settings since Mat posted them.

Anyone tried these numbers with a 18 model. Trying to see if this is the best numbers to do on our 18s

This method netted constant 14.4+, using the proven method from @Shellshock

However, it does not taper. I haven't had anybody available for testing, so I eventually gave up on it and figured eventually someone else would figure it out.

I’ve done it on a 19. Should net the same result on an 18. All the tables are the same.

I am running these number on 18 and monitoring with Scan gauge. Voltage is constant at 14.2V - 14.3V It does drop in the 13.8V range occasionally at idle. Outside temperatures have been in the 40s - 70s F the last couple weeks but I have seen no changes in Charging Voltage. I haven't tried VFT logger but I'm going to see it I can make it happen right now.:fingerscrossed:

From what @Shellshock said these numbers won't Taper. So i guess they wont lower when the temperature will go up. I had a buddy do my tune. So im tryinf 2 get something that will taper on those dessert runs. But will stay constant with those mountain cold weather also.
I'll be keeping a eye out @tacomarin numbers and logs now.

This is what I’m running right now for numbers. That’s the only table I changed for charging. I left all the other values the same and so far my voltage seems to stay in the 14.4-14.7 range. I haven’t logged yet though. Maybe next week.

I wouldnt adjust the voltage output without also adjusting the phase duties.. You’ll either get inconsistent output, not get the desired output, or a variety of other things. You need to do both.

I am not any of those guys but I think it's not worth it. Your numbers across the top that go horizontally tell it how to behave by engine temp. The phase duties tell it how to behave regardless of engine temp. You should be altering all relevant values, not just some of them

I saw ur post on the vf tuner site for our 18s. But i did notice ur ect values don't taper with temp. What about doing tacomarins numbers with ur Phase Duty numbers? So they taper?
