Love me some Balcones. Awesome to see those unique picks making it out of state! Brings me hope to come across more of them after I move away.

That B520 is a solid pour. Haven't been able to get a hold of any of the 2020 Booker's though. Good finds!

Yes ECBP is something I always keep on the shelf. I usually always have Larceny BP as well.
A local shop has 2019 and 2020 Bookers constantly. I gave them shit for not having any today and he said oh we have more in the back and came running out with them.

actually found Buffalo Trace for the first time ever at Specs. The Total Wine nearest me never has. Going to try it this week after I kill off a few other bottles.

That elijah craig'll put hair on your chest! Those are the old single barrel cask strength bottlings right? I hear they're better than the new ones.

So I'm going to echo a couple of the previously mentioned ones and add to the list. Not sure if you've bought yet, but if not. Here's some more to check out.

    High west campfire ($65)
It a blend of bourbon, rye, and heavily smokey scotch. Sounds weird but it's very yummy. It will definitely taste like an American style whiskey, but with extra smoke.

    Ardbeg 10 ( $60)
Has a distinct sweet smoked meats flavour. I absolutely love this distillery. If you want smokey, and you like smoked meats this is for you.

Lost Spirits Navy Style 61 Rum ($40)
Not a whiskey obviously, but deserved to be mentioned. Strong tobacco smoke flavour. It's very high proof (120ish) so I recommend you drink with ice. This stuff is awesome! Worth double the price imo.

    Oban 14 ($75)
A more mild smoke but that's only compared to the other very smokey choices here. Good balance between peat/smoke. I don't know if he likes peat or not, hard to separate the two if you're going to get a scotch though. But this is probably as close as you'll get to doing that if that's what you want to do.

Not many TWers in Augusta! I got a 1792 store bottling from beverage outlet and an EC Toasted Barrel to share. Got rid of a lot of my collection when I moved so I need to get a nice scotch. Maybe the Ardbeg Uigedal or Port Charlotte. You know of any good spots to buy around here?

Some of the older ones are better, but the 2020 release are no joke either. Batch 11 (2016, 139.4 proof) is my absolute favorite though.

I got the same 1792 lol, beverage outlet has the best pricing and a pretty good selection. Wheeler Package was my go to for a while but sometimes he’ll mark stuff up too high. I’m not really into scotch but my buddy who is goes to White Horse in surrey center

I was at Wallyworld last night and walked into the liquor store section. I wasn’t expecting much but saw this. A bottle of EC plus a bottle of magic elixir to make 16 old fashions. All for $25; it came home with me lol. I usually drink EC with just a cube of ice. I don’t have high expectations of the old fashion elixir but will report back this evening.
I love gift sets this time of year, I’m usually hunting for glasses though.

I'm not sure which batch I have. I've been nursing this bottle for years though. Maybe you know?

Thanks for the info, and if you ever wanna share a dram hit me up!
