Look what I found early the other day!

 

New Kitten!

 

2 new kitts. Surprised the heck out of me that she brought them upstairs. Now she comes at night by herself, I hope they're sleeping someplace warm, safe and cozy.

 

Feral mom?

 

Yup! Call her Mommy Cat. She had 2 kitts a few years back that I caught with help and got them a home. This time I'll try and do the same.

 

Well, I want something a bit unusual, so I sprung up the idea of a skunk and my wife actually the one who did all the research. Those two names are probably the most common aside from Flower.

 

Totally not surprised on the name thing.

I never get tired of taking the same pics of her laying on her back... she's such a weirdo❤

 

That's how Kittles made her appearance and way into the house...

I saw her mom out in the yard one day eating some salad out in the yard I'd thrown out... And she must've been into clean eating and trusted me bc I petted her then, next thing you know a few months later BOSS (Kittles dad, the area stud) had a intimate relation with her....

Then next thing you know Kittles comes sneaking out of the bushes with her bobbed tale little butt, with her momma..

Then as she got a little older, she'd take kitty naps in my lap.. About to take one here.

Goddamn if BOSS isnt the most appropriately named cat I've ever seen....

 

Here are Winston (darker) and Harper having a small pumpkin. They ate enough that night that their poo was colored orange the next day.

 

Haha, it just came to me the day I saw him... The pictures don't do him justice..
He was also really muscular, but I never saw him be mean to another cat... But when he made moves the other ones respected him etc..

There was a neighbor that literally thought he was a cub bear walking thru their yard, she yelled to her husband thinking he was.

Unfortunately it's been at least three years since he's been seen around here and I've seen him.. But a little further down someone mentioned seeing a big black bobbed tale cat recently, unless their time is warped..


He was also the dad of Kittles little brother Kat I had to put down earlier this year (one reason I named them what I did, so they'd be short Kit Kat), and shorty Kittles little half tale sister..

 

So cool, little skunkers.
What kind of character do they have, or they similar in anyway to other animals?

 

These particular ones have mild personalities. Not all skunks are like these two, in fact, they are considered exceptional. I'm unsure how their personalities compare to those of dogs and cats because I have never have any.

Winston (the darker male) is skittish and hard to trust any human. He cuddles to my wife and my son but rarely to me. He's sweet once captured, but he will pee due to stress from being picked up; sometimes I can see the fear in his eyes. We always wonder what happened to him in the past homes that turned him into what he is today. Ours is the 5th and 4th is a foster home of Skunk Haven. I know he was treated well in the foster home living with 4 other skunks and 5 German Shepherds.

Harper is supposedly a sister to Winston from the same litter. She has a different personality, sometimes I call her a little hurricane when she's being persistent and curious at the same time. She is even more cuddly and yet she tries to run away when being picked up. She is also sweet, but she has a time limit. She would nip very very lightly when she is done or when she needs to go potty. She came from a household with dogs and another skunk. I believe she and the other skunk were not abused there but I don't know the exact reason why they were given up.

 

Well when it's all said and done, I guess technically they're wild animals... So they're bound to be quirky etc..

 

I mentioned the lady that is taking care of Scooter, and how she raised another kitty named Axle... I wasn't kidding when I said she raised him... She bottle fed him and carried him literally everywhere with her, everywhere.
