Caustic is the opposite of acidic but just as bad. Simple Green is some good stuff. I use it when washing the house and it doesn’t hurt anything.

Around $26,000 worth of unleaded in the fuel tank.
Purple Power will damage the paint if you put it on undiluted and let it sit too long, otherwise its ok.

Any of these strong degreasers will etch Aluminum if you keep it on too long. Don’t let sit prolonged and you’ll be fine. I use Simple Green all the time.

PurpPower really dried out and stained some of my stuff, Simple Green did an okay job but required extra agitation and left an oily residue, Formula 88 has been my go to APC for a good while now, cheap, easy to obtain from lowes/home depot and I frankly have nothing bad to say about it.

This has just been my experience though.

I cleaned my enclosed aluminum trailer with diluted purple power. It had a decent amount of weather stripping water stains down the side. I got lucky and didn’t lose any paint though. I must’ve diluted it enough.

I’ll be using simple green next time to be on the cautious side.

    Spit works good:thumbsup:

For real tho, I’ve always had great luck with simple green as an safer effective cleaner.

I’m gonna share a family secret with you guys, cuz, well everyone is kinda nice around here but do not spread it to the world. There is a cleaner, at The Dollar Store, and all them dollar type places, called LA’s Totally Awesome. This stuff is absolutely incredible!!! Really is. Try it and thank me laterDF1CB4AF-712C-4797-8016-A0565AF6B875.jpg

I've used it for parts but not anything with paint. Works great through.

It burns my skin if I get it on there. It's powerful stuff. I use it to degrease cast iron engine blocks.
