i'm actually unsure about that. they both claim to give 1 to 3.5 inches of lift, and if you look at what comes in the kit, the one without the aluuminum top plate comes with thinner alluminum spacers that it looks like you can stack to make up for the stock top plate being thinner. as far as i can tell, the pre-assembled coilovers don't include those.

also jesse, how much lift do you want? because unless you get new ucas, you can't go above 2 inches anyway. i did 2.5 inches with my stock UCAs for a month, and my caster sucked.

that's the kind of stuff you see on one of those tv shows where it's home videos of shit going wrong......i could see us being on it and the thing exploding and a spring shooting through the celing

 

are you talking about the kit the guy is selling, because i thought i had linked to only the coilovers on the toytec site

 

I had 4 and mine was damn near perfect.

 

3 inch will be good. I have about a 2.5 leveling kit on now. Ive heard ppl are fine with 3 inches. I plan on new UCA's in the future

 

Yea that was kinda scary. But it worked out alright after a couple tries and no one got shot with a spring and Tim's garage is still mostly in tacked so all is good.

I'm sure you can get 3.5 out of both of them but will be preloaded ever so slightly more to obtain it. I didn't know the non assembled ones came with the thinner spacers though. In that case they are exactly the same thing just with the unassembled ones you have more option to obtain the lift. I like that idea.

I like Fink's idea of going with the OME lift.

Yeah I'd go for the OME kit, but that's just me.

Which will ride smoother OME or Toytec? Reliability? Strength?

In my opinion the OME looks cheap compared to the Toytec

 

Too many variables. Depends on your preload and what springs you go with. If you are very concerned with ride then go with toytec because you can adjust it(or have somebody else) to your liking but at the cost of lift of course.
