    If you can figure that out please let me know as I have a few years on you and I have yet to figure it out.

    Muscle memory says I can carry 150 pounds in each hand in reality a Maxstar 150 is pushing things

    We used to use 151STLs everywhere, which they discontinued. The 161STLs are complete junk.

    The 161STL`s are just so different not many read the users manuals .

    Give up say the machine is junk Most Common complaint is TIG does not work in the 161`s it needs to be turned on then if your using a remote needs selected

    Our problem is the 161STL loses 25 amps on 120, and only does like 90amp stick on 120. You can happily weld half inch stainless with 150 amps on TIG, but if you can't get to 150 amps and are now stuck at 125 amps, you've got a problem.

    So I'm at my doctor for my annual several years ago and I was squawking about this and that (like one does when visiting), my doctor who happens to be old enough to be my kid leans over and very quietly says "you have got to realize that your not 30 anymore".

    Well, I was mad enough to spit nails -- not that he said it -- but that I had to admit it.... :frusty:

    BTW -- Conversations with your doctor take all the fun out of grocery shopping too. :mad:
