Posing-up, but I don't care I love the look of this grill.

    upload_2020-12-13_16-41-37.jpg

Also noticed in the Taco Twonz video they missed the two slide-in metal brackets on the original grill to hold the radar in securely. They just went with the one upper screw...
They slide out of the old grill and right into the new one.
    y66mETaLgbzwu5Ab0J3qXUHND0YGwhOYMe4u7jAQ_3149d7c9f37fd90c7d81ed13934207565c4c0c3b.jpg

Garnish snaps in with the bottom two snaps...
I found a 1/4" extension worked great to get the clips started on the upper two pins, and then a 10mm socket worked to hammer them home.
I placed a block under the garish with a piece of vinyl (soft thing to avoid scratches) to protect the garnish and give me something to hammer (lightly) against. Quick medium taps seemed to work well.

Have all the old pieces if anyone nearby (Ridgecrest, CA) needs them... Don't think it's worth shipping, but let me know if it's worth it to you.

Still need to get the new front camera mounted. Doing a little sanding and painting to the mount I designed, it's turning out well.

Absolutely nothing. Throttle response was better, but the engine noise was louder than the muffler, an not in a pleasant way. Almost a tank of gas before I took it out. No change to mileage. Are you running heavy?

Installed a set of generic mud flaps and the Toyota OEM power tailgate lock kit.

The tailgate lock kit install went well...no real problems. I just took my time and made sure it was being done correctly :)

Next upgrade will be the Redline Tuning hood strut kit - Amazon is supposed to deliver it Thursday.

Changed the engine and cabin air filters today. The cabin air filter surprised me with how much junk was in there!

TRD Pro suspension with Headstrong 3 Leaf AAL, DV8 OR front slimline bumper & Engine Skid Plate, RCI OR high clearance bumper, CaliRaised Trail Edition Sliders, Spidertrax 1.25" Wheel Spacers, 265/75 16 GY Duratracs, wrapped the OEM wheels, OR Roof Rack, Extang Exceed Hard top Tri fold tonneau.
The Tacoma already has a CAI, airflow stock is surprisingly good, other than being louder as the resonator is removed, you won't see any difference in HP or mileage. It does look nice under the hood though.

Last year my sister gave me an Amazon gift card for my birthday, and I ordered the k & n air filter, and let me tell you, when I pulled out the paper one to replace it, it was disgusting (probably first time it's ever been taken out tbh). Saying that, I pulled the k & n one out in either oct or nov to clean it out, and it was pretty dirty. The nice part is it can be cleaned and put back in fairly quickly. It cost more up front, but beats paying for a new one every so often.

That’s awesome. Florida has two types of trails. The street or 4 foot deep mud holes. I’d love some moderate trails to play on.

Very fortunate here in California. I can drive about an hour down 101 to Fort Hunter Liggett or Lockwood (did Lockwood last weekend) or about an south on Highway 1 to Big Sur or about an hour north to Hollister Hills OHV park (plus there’s an old ghost town with some trails out that way that’ll take you half way across the state and come out to interstate 5). Very fortunate....
BTW...my avatar pic is from last weekend at Lockwood. :D

I grew up in Southern California. The state has it’s issues (just like any) but there’s nothing like it when it comes to scenery. From the beaches to the mountains, desserts etc.

Hoping to head down to Death Valley next fall to hit some trails and do some camping. You’re absolutely right, this state has its issues. Just happy they haven’t taken away all the OHV parks......yet. I believe they are planning on closing Pismo Beach to OHV’s within the next five years. :annoyed:

I agree. It really is barely broken in. Obviously I just don't drive it much. Bluebook values are high now on all Tacomas. Figure it's a good time to sell and move on to a 4runner or, hopefully, a low mileage FJ Cruiser. I see 5 to 8 Tacomas selling fast for crazy money on the local craigslist every month. With $4500 in good mods, as well as being pristine with low miles, I should have no trouble getting the high book value. Not too many blue ones on the market. Not many access cab V6 rear wheel drives on the market. Zero access cab rear wheel drive blue Sport models on the market in the whole USA. It is a rare combo. I use the truck bed maybe 6 times a year. Nothing I can't handle with a 10' trailer.

Killer stance! Is that all you did to the suspension? What size wheels and tires?
