Love everything so far about the truck my only issue early on is the truck isn’t recognizing me or my wife’s iPhone 11 for Apple CarPlay, I checked that the entune software is up to date and restarted my phone, truck, etc and I can’t get it to work....any tips or tricks?

Is Siri setup? CarPlay needs Siri setup and enabled, i.e. General -> Siri & Search -> Listen for "Hey Siri".

I had my usb replaced. It stopped recognizing my phone all together.

Now, it doesn’t start apple CarPlay all the time. Sometimes I have to unplug and plug my phone back in to get it to start.

My guess is the software needs to be updated on Toyota’s end, but I’m not sure

Check to make sure your phones charging port is not full of lint.

Is Apple Carplay turned on in the settings? I believe its under phone projection or something. Both Android Auto and Apply Carplay can be toggled on and off there individually

Is your phone unlocked? CarPlay will not recognize my phone until I unlock the phone.

Your iPhone must be hard wired to the front USB by the Q charging button for ACP to work. It's not Bluetooth.

Also, make sure the cable is good to go. I've had times where my lightening cable was dirty and caused connectivity issues.

Happens to me - won’t recognized until my phone is unlocked. Then I have to click the “apple carplay” on the touch screen. Make sure the phone is unlocked otherwise it won’t launch. I believe this is a setting as well. Also check the cable itself & lint in the charging port on the phone as mentioned above.

    One more thing to consider.

Are you using an Apple branded cable? Generic cables often won't support CarPlay.

This happens on my 2020 occasionally. I haven’t found any sort of pattern yet.

This is probably obvious but phone must be plugged in on the dash USB port, not the one in the center console.
