    There is a dark sky park upstate that I like to visit several times a year. It’s 2,300 feet above sea level and has almost zero light pollution.

    With that said, I’ve had many trips rendered a waste of time due to unexpected cloud cover. The most recent trip was this past summer and the sky was partially occluded from the wildfire smoke on the west coast. I know how frustrating it can be to stay up late to observe the skies only to see absolutely nothing. :pout:
