You can, but you won't notice much of a difference with Silverstars. I would invest in better stock wattage bulbs before wiring. I never upgraded my wiring harness for the Philips Racing Vision H4 and Tungsram H11 in the fog lights since I knew I was going to do a retrofit. Where the wire harnesses help or are required is when you run higher wattage bulbs since they will draw more amperage and can damage the OEM wiring or connector to the bulb.

Personally I prefer Philips and Tungsram over Osram. I have tried the Osram Nightbreakers in my fog lights and they didn't last very long nor were they as bright as the Tungsram. That's my experience though.

Finally some fog! This is the ultimate headlight upgrade and SS3 Pro in selective yellow. I bought the clear lenses for 4K, but thinking I may sell them as I really like the visibility of the selective yellow. Now I need to do the anytime fog light mod. Also starting the search for a light bar to place in the lower front grill opening.

This one actually saved my bumper a few years ago in Hilton Head. Some idiot left a streak of paint from one end of it to the other, guess they got too close pulling in or backing out of a parking space. It all cleaned up with some polishing compound once we got home. And had to readjust the fog lights I had on it at the time.

    Looks great!

ND4's Fog Light Anytime Mod... NO splicing, No Bending, 100% reversible is one of the easier to install. Highly recommended.

Budgets pretty tight right now so looking into Morimoto amber or white. Would you still say both are significant improvement over stock Off-road fogs? Ideally Id go with rigid whites but those are not the cheapest in the world.

Hey I know this is very old, but are those Rigid SAE Ambers available yet?

No, both are a downgrade in output compared to the high power off road TRD halogen fogs. See below, amber is a fair amount lower in intensity than Morimoto white (shown). I’d recommend watching for sales on the SS3 Sports if on a budget and looking for a better performing fog than stock.

Yes, Rigid now has all their SAE fog products available in selective yellow.

Though I just replaced my Baja Designs Squadrons Sports that I had for my fogs for the Diode Dynamics SS3 Max in white yesterday that I got from Hotshot Offroad. I have adjusted them but have not driven at night yet with them.

If possible update us with pictures of light output for the two? Looking for Fog upgrades on stock bumper stock location and I've looked at both of these.

Note that the Squadron Sports are not a fog light. The example was shown in the very beginning of the thread. They have no cut offs like a fog for poor weather performance, will blind oncoming traffic and should not be run on the street.

I don’t have any output shots when the Squadron Sports were installed but will get some with the SS3 when I get a chance.
