100% on that fan. I asked Spencer about that and they said they didn’t do it based on the design to vent but I still think one of those fans would be perfect. Muggy hot weather needs it

Yeah I’m going the fan route just for when the whole thing is closed up. My GFC got to 130° in the AZ heat last year. I’d like for all my fishing plastics to not melt next summer

I have a way to mount the fan within the fiberglass roof that I think will be pretty stout. I'm also planning on two 100w panels (Renogy 24x48"ish panels) in a line down the middle, with the fan in between.

I believe it. My last trip to AZ/Utah it was blazing hot.

Nice I have 2 versions of those panels now. I’m thinking of getting a Merlin panel or something flatter for this setup. I’ll use the Renogys again to start. Curious to see the fan setups.

By two versions do you mean different sizes/outputs or do you have one of the flexible flat mount ones? I ask because I have always avoided buying those or mounting for others because of the heat dissipation concerns and failures on the early ones. I finally bought one but I'm not impressed. I also don't like the idea of permanently gluing a thin panel like that down to a roof when one hail storm could mean death for that panel. I love how the extrusions on the SP are all around the top so I can easily make a low profile, simple rack for the regular aluminum extrusion panels. I'm not excited about the added height on my top but if I do a Maxxair fan I'll add 2-3" for that anyway. Keeping all of it in the center will help a bit with tight trails but it still may be a pain sometimes given my drive thru coffee addiction.

I like the Renogy's. I've never had a failure. I have had others and the quality and value of the Renogy's are much better than any other ones I've tried. I guess I've bought and mounted close to 20 Renogy 100w panels now.

They updated the deign recently. When I bought a second it was the same model but actually was smaller. Not a bad thing but did not expect that. I agree my biggest thing is the height. I want to keep that down as much as I can. The X1 will increase my current Max height slightly.

I agree on sticking them. If I went with that type of setup I planned to go with a higher end that’s more efficient then the reunify but overall I have been happy. Max on a super sunny day I have seen 170-180 on 200 watts of panels and still some on cold days 30 watts or so. Extra watts is clutch.

Let me take a look. I just recall that when I went to get the new one they had a newer version but was not noted as compact. Then the newer version is a bit smaller which is nice but still not compact per se.

ah well, I guess I did buy the compact one. They did not have it labeled as a compact just a newer design. I can take a photo when I get back home to give you an idea of each. Id swap a full size for a compact.

Yah was thinking more comparison mounted next to each other rather than specs.

Got my X1 installed! I was a little unsure about the dark grey on MGM but really stoked on the color combo. The crew that installed it were great. Super nice guys and everything was set in about 30 min.

haha Yeah, and I would say it's even better in person vs this photo. I didn't get a shot when the tent was up but the tan tent looks good with this combo as well!

Are they ditching the superpacific plaques in place of decals now? I know someone mentioned this. I think it was @mac_2_nite but cant recall.

I'll note that, at least for the third brake light that was used on mine, the wiring is not the same as the 3-wire example that was posted earlier. It's a trailer brake light and not a 3rd-brake light so you end up only using 2 wires to get it to not be on when your marker lights are on. So white is ground, black is dim light and red wire from the light is bright light.

They didn't say. I liked the look of the black decal better so I didn't think to ask them.

One thing I think may be missing from mine is the plaque that shows the install and build #. I couldn't find it when I was looking around yesterday. *edit: The plaques are on backorder and will be sent to those who need them.
