Porter's Page!

Molly would have been 26 years old today! According to Guinness World Records, the oldest recorded domestic dog was about 30 years of age!

This would be Molly's very last trip to Maine, as her health had started to deteriorate at the beginning of that summer (my mom actually clipped some of her fur before we put her in the kennel prior to a trip to Hawaii for my cousin's wedding in July, because she wasn't sure she'd survive; She did well enough for a 14-year old Labrador from late July through Thanksgiving of 2009, but we ended up putting her to sleep not even two weeks after her 15th birthday because her kidneys started to fail, her health nosedived, and there was just no quality of life anymore

I am obviously not going to be taking my truck through the car wash until after Christmas (likely after New Year’s) due to the Christmas lights and wreath on it; However, once I take the lights and wreath off, I’m going to bring Porter with me in the truck and see how he reacts when we go through the car wash. Mandy was not the least bit scared when I took her through in Grammy’s Lexus over two years ago...

 

Tried to get pictures of Porter with his bone, but he kept following me...

 

To Porter, the Toro is probably the Vacuum Cleaner from Hell...

 

Also, Porter lost his custom nametag at @Gwyns04’s house on Friday

 

He’s had an obsession with leaves lately...

Though the glass glow-in-the-dark rubber thing broke...

 

I am not entirely sure if Porter has ever seen snow; He came from Lancaster and he was born in October 2019, so there’s a chance he did get some exposure to it during the incredibly mild winter of 2019-2020...

Mandy was found in a box with two siblings by the side of the road in South Carolina, and she was born in July 2018, so she definitely never saw snow prior to arriving here in Pennsylvania.

 

It is snowing right now and sorta sticking, so I took the Portmeister out back to play...
