Hi Everyone, month long lurker, first time poster :D

I've been casually looking for a Tacoma for a few months and finally found one that I love.

2010 Double Cab TRD, Magnetic Gray Metallic, 14,800mi

It looks to be in very good condition, rides very well. It has an aftermarket set of wheels w/big BF Goodrich tires hardly worn.

I casually left the stealership tonight at $27,999.

What's everyone's opinion on how much lower can I realistically get on price?

TRD Sport or Off Road? And is it a 4x4 or 4x2? Tow Package? Depending on options, I would think $25,000, it's a used truck. What's the sticker on it?

well 27,9k for a used 2010 truck with 14k miles is a joke. i paid that amount new for my 4x4off road double cab with tow package and extra add ons.

    KBB suggested value ~30,865.

but, play hardball. if you have cash i bet you could get out with it for about 24-25 but financing gives you basically no leverage. I bought my first gen. from a dealer, he told me 14,000 bottom line. when i came in with 11,000 in 100's he changed his mind. little different pricing i realize but just an example. GOOD LUCK though!!

Having a change of heart? You kinda did a 180 there...

I'm still going with 25K or less, again depending options.

Sport or Off Road? Not sure - it's got the hill decent button, the curtain airbag off button

Two more aftermarket notes - RoofRack and rock sliders

what are you talking about? I bought my truck with 42 miles on it. he is looking at a used truck with 14k miles on it for the same price that i paid for mine.

where is the 180 and the change of heart?

$25k would be a good price.

Did they give you a hard time when you walked out? Like they were desparate to keep you there? That could be a good indication. If they let you walk out at that price and didn't really pay much attention, they're either horrible salesmen or they were give you a deal and couldn't go any lower.

Nvm, I must have misunderstood, I thought you went from saying there's no way he'd get it down that low to saying it should be that low.

yeah. 2010 DC 4wd sr5 with tow pkg and the silly $200 floormats (no choice on those) at $28K new. just keep on walking out until they take your offer. i guess they're in no hurry to move a slightly used tacoma in good shape though, huh? i'd be happy with maybe $25K.
P.S....i like how you do everything "casually"! that must piss those salesmen off!

I don't know the market in Nebraska but I think I got a pretty good deal on my truck.

If you could get that truck for 27k otd I think you'd be making out okay.

Remember the truck is worth what you're willing to pay for it.

Yeah. Haven't seen a roof rack like that. Looks a little weird how it sits on the front of the roof but definitely different.
