    What I have done the last 5 years was to visit the ranger station and pickup a OHV map. I would then spend my weekends scouting here and there. I found many many awesome spots for all types of camping.

    grab yourself a map and go explore, it has brought me much joy and happiness.

    I wish I had awesome places to share with you, but all I places I can describe are along those trails found on the map.

    Google earth is great to explore as well, but check out the "mymaps" extension in google drive. You can create way points, check topos, export KMZ. files and all that jazz. I used them both in conjunction with OHV/ national forest service maps frequently. Cheers.
