Need some advice from the community... Is 22K too crazy of a price to pay for a 2002 Black Dbl Cab Limited TRD 4x4

    167K miles

Limited trim with a factory sun roof

1 owner serviced every 3-5k miles at Toyota for the last 18 years

Rust free and in mint condition inside and out

I know I can do whatever I want and all that, but I value the opinions from ppl in this community...

I think anything over $10K is too much to pay for a 16-year old truck with almost 170K miles, and even that is pushing it!

The list is long but distinguished
KBB says $12k tops with median ~$10k. Unless there is $10k in added accessories then I would pass on that price.

Agree with these guys, it seems these days Tacoma’s are worth more used than new haha, but I’d keep looking

For 22k I would be looking at a 14 or 15 Off Road with less then 80k.

Call the credit union for a loan value

Call your insurance for a payout number if it's totaled

    Then decide

First off that seems insane asking price. Almost embarrassing to say and foolish I didn't come on here and research a little more first. When I traded our 2001 in 2011 so ten years old and 190k miles. I told the dealer I wanted $7,500.00 and they didn't bat a eye. It was in great condition, used sure but well maintained and no rust, no accidents. Edit to add, I see them sell with over 200k miles for close to or around $10k today. What they ask anyway!

Holy cow.... if a 2002 is worth that much, the rest of us with much newer trucks are sitting on a pile of gold

Recently a 2003 xcab was on craigslist for $14000. Garage kept one owner with 70k miles. It lasted 1 hour. That I can see. With 170k miles don't walk away. Run away.

Depends how you write the policy, and that's what the agent should tell you, then give you options.

It's why I said call. Knowing is always better than guessing.

Yeah, I know things are 'worth' what someone will pay. Until the piper shows up. BTW, no vehicle with 167k is 'mint' inside and out, dealer maintained or not.

For example, ask if all the rubber bushings have been replaced.............. and the list could be very long from there.

They are fishing. And may find a whale. Doesn't mean it should be you.

Damn...that’s a 10-12k truck in these here parts. Is it from a private party or glue sniffing dealership?
