I'm in a similar boat. Let's just say if FDX doesn't obliterate earnings I'm gonna be screwed.

 

i was looking at X recently. STLD I read has a connection to TSLA cyber trucks.

 

Yah, but look at how many companies already obliterated earnings though this year and their stock FELL afterwards lol. This is the year of opposite day

I won the ugly sweater contest at work last Friday and picked up a cool $25 gift card to starbucks. I'm set financially for the rest of the year now, lets roll the dice!

Sold BOIL and NAIL today

 

I rode SBUX many times in the past. won't touch it now with covid. Tesla will kick out Occidental Petroleum from the S&P 100 index on Friday

 

Any of you guys in the ARK ETFs? Cathie has been kicking ass this year. Thinking about spreading $10k across ARKK (innovation), ARKQ (robotics), and either ARKW (next gen internet) or ARKF (fintech innovation).

Not calls, buy and hold.

Thoughts?

I was looking through the charts earlier today, and if I had just given ark all my money in April I'd be shopping for an airplane right now.

 

Please don’t remind me. If I had put all of my money into TSLA earlier this year I’d be in the 2 comma club. Oh well, I’d have never done that anyway.

 

Coulda, shoulda, woulda. That's what makes this fun.

 

Since here in CA announced no more gas car sales next decade, i've been following CARG, KMX and CVNA. Rode CARG for a few weeks, took my profits, and its still going. I can see KMX getting up to CVNA level as the deadline grows closer.

 

Just never have guts to go all in.

 

Well yah. Become a millionaire, or lose your house. No brainer. That's why 99% of my money is in mutual funds. I can lose a few grand here or there trying to get rich, but as long as I don't touch my real money, I'll still be able to retire at 55.

And who knows, I might get lucky on some random $500 bet and turn it into $50k lol.

 

Well I didn't become a millionaire by gambling. But I can take some controlled amount and try for some new toy or nicer house.....but rather than just picking some possible flyer, I pick a few, and do some options on others. Chugging along for success! I made $XXX,XXX just in trading this year. But I still have a very conservative portfolio and red days are rare.

 

See now that would be a risk because the numbers don't back the skyrocketing. Let's say you put it all in Target or Costco, would still be major risk but less likely to grenade down imo cuz ppl neeed their eats n stuff.

 

That’s what I did! Not complaining, and not willing to lose it all, so I take what I get.

 

Interesting idea though ... sell everything except two favorite stocks and load 'em with all you got !
