I think you could push them to 25,000, which would be roughly 27,500 OTD give or take. That's a nice, clean looking machine. Again though, I'd gage how they reacted when you walked out and relate that to how hard I'd go back and push them.

This sounds right as far as model.

And to the "casual" comment - absofreakinlutely! I put him through the ringer. He actually had an answer for every question I asked. He was pushing to keep there (I had truly did have somewhere else to be) and left. He pulled the "well someone might buy it if you leave!" line and I flat out told I could care less (just playing the game). I'll let'em sweat 'til Saturday :)

Damn, tough crowd! I just went and checked to make sure I didn't get the same treatment... Looks like someone didn't like your advice! Based on that statement I'd guess it was an accident. I had a new guy neg rep me for helping him out because he didn't know how to do it correctly, haha. It was neg rep but he left a positive comment.

I'd go on www.edmunds.com build a new tacoma the way you want it then see what the dealer price looks like. Next I would say a new truck + $500 over dealer cost would be a fair price and use that as a guide to negotiate. Maybe even price some airfares to fly to another city to get one at a reasonable price. You can always call other cities if your ready to buy and talk to your bank or credit union tell them what you want to do and ask them if they can support you for a new car/truck loan up to $30,000. That way the finance option isn't in their court. You can talk cash then and simply get the vin call the bank or CU and bang your done. They will overnite them a check.

Andrew are you sure you got neg? Maybe it was neutral? Until a new member has rep, theirs are all neutral.

This might all be my bad? I pos rep'd a few people for their input - 100% positive I didn't neg anyone so the neutral may be the culprit.
