Is it worth the premium to go x570 vs b550? Looking at the gigabyte aorus pro b550 at $155 or x570 at $235. Currently have a gigabyte b450 mobo, but it’s a micro atx so only 1 m.2 slot, one fan header that is in the worst spot, max ram speed support of 3200mhz, and the pcie slot is actually bent which explains the gpu sag I have.

my cpu is a ryzen 5 3600 and I don’t overclock or anything crazy if that makes a difference in choosing which board

I would stay away from AMD Radeon cards period. I just upgraded from a Radeon rx 5700 xt. The frames where unstable and the drivers are not good at all. I upgraded to a 3080 night and day difference.

Based on not needing overclocking or anything really special...b550 would work just fine. I'd say what's more important is making sure the board you pick has everything you need. Like a possible front usb-c header or anything along those lines

So the reference card? I never really read great things about them. The red devil and sapphire were supposed to be the two best. I’m still torn between going nvidia or staying with AMD for my next gpu

Plenty of fan headers and 2 m.2 slots would be my requirements. Any special reason for a front usb-c header? I keep reading about it but don’t know the perks of it.

Yeah but at what resolution? 4k? With Ray Tracing That's really rather impressive.

    Even 2k with Ray Tracing.

4k alone or 2k with RT 90fps isn't that bad really.

Less that that, eh... Begining to see your point.

If your case has anything unique like a USB-C header or it. Its a different cable than the regular USB header. Like my case has front USB-C...but I dont have a USB-C header on my motherboard so I cant use it. Wasnt a big deal to me since my case is buried under the desk and I use a usb hub anyways.

Just something to look at is all.

Yeah I'm curious how the AMD card will be. I snagged a 3090 a while back that was pretty sweet for Flight Sim. I'd like to see how the 6900 XT does after all the boasting, cause the benchmarks themselves aren't too crazy.

Does anyone know why my Bose headphones (QC25) will not work as a mic for gaming?

Am I having driver issues or are they really not compatible for PC gaming?

I'd hate to buy specific headphones if these will work. They work very well for game audio, just not able to transmit chat. I think I've messed with every audio setting there is within COD. Both Cold War and Warzone.

I was having the same issues with my hyperx headset. Not sure if you’ve tried this, but you have to go into BattleNet settings and choose the output device to match what you have. You can check windows settings as well and see if it’s chosen there as the mic. It took me a long time messing with settings to get mine to work

Yeah it's pretty rough with all technology this year. Getting a graphics card processor or console seems to be incredibly difficult.

Yeah, everything we want for Christmas is impossible or unlikely to get, so I bought a bumper for my truck, lol.

I'll give it a go but I feel like I checked those settings before :notsure: That would make for an easy fix
