Hard to engage 4x4 when cold

    Hi, I installed ECGS bushing on my 2011 tacoma this summer and changed oil. Now it’s winter cold here in Canada and my 4x4 does not like cold, it does not engage when cold. Is it more difficult for the actuator to put it in 4x4 with the new bushing?

    The bushing should have no effect on engagement.

    No, the grease in the motor is probably slowing it up a bit. The bushing is on the drivers side, and has no effect on shifting into 4wf

    i can’t remove the plastic cap, but I think the actuator does not like Canadian winter!

    I get just as much salt as you .
    My ADD is still going strong in my 2010 , but I can imagine what it looks like inside .
    Maybe I will take it apart and solder the connections for fun this summer
