I don't know how it usually falls for you but here when it's really bad, you can't do that. You'd be outside shoveling for the entire blizzard. As soon as you "finished" it would all be blown back in again!

Don't even get me started on the ice damn the plow leaves at the end of the driveway. Which my niece may or may not have tried to go over in a Kia Rio.

When we get a good snow and think how bad this is, the scooping shoveling, snowblower, then watch the news people East and North East, Lake effect snow and some poor fellow scooping off the walk and their are walls of snow higher than his head. That makes it not so bad for me

Gives the boys something to do when they get bored really... I take care of most of it or what they don’t do.... and yes the snow plow .... my worst enemy!! But I tend not to think about how fast they plow and roll those big ice chunks to the point it knocks over my
Mail box!!! Beer and fire up the snow blower.

We’ve had a lot of them active throughout the entire day the last few weeks. Been nervous to let the chickens roam free the past few weekends. Had to run a red tailed hawk off a couple weeks back, I still don’t know how he didn’t pick off one of the hens!
One of the other birds we get often in my yard is the big pileated woodpeckers, almost always a male and female inspecting all the dead branches.

Hey Jeff, if you don’t mind me asking, what part of Florida you in? I thought there was only one of us crazy Floridians in here with all these thick blooded northerners! I live about 3 miles from a small beekeeper and always buy my honey there, can’t beat $45 for a gallon of honey! (Well I guess you could if you kept the bees yourself as you do!)

After having my mail box knocked off 3-4 times I finally rebuilt the entire stand. So far so good. Ever regret saying something like this haha

We have a pair of great horned owls that will occupy the giant dead tree off our back deck. Haven't seen them for a while, but when there they'll be vocal well into the night. This photo was from mid-September.

Maxed out my iPhone zoom, but was extremely lucky to catch a glimpse of this bald eagle. Heard it chattering while in the woods and was able to get to a clearing in the trees just in time before he flew off.
Also found a pic I caught of the woodpecker, they don’t stay still very long!

Growing up, when I was a teenager we had a woodpecker that would hammer on the eve of my parents house every morning. It drove me crazy. The eves were covered in aluminum

Haha! Yeah, we had one that had a habit of that on our roof flashing too, always at 7 am!
I thought that may be the case, I’ve been known to try getting shots like that. Still a nice shot!

    A thing or two...
We get a small bonus. After taxes are taken out, it's not enough to cover a nice dinner for one. Better than nothing though.

Oh heres a great tutorial on how to draw a perfect 5 point star. I used this for the texas flag to make a stencil to cut out.

Also good one to teach/show your kids

When you see things like that, it always look so simple once it's explained.

Personally, I'd still fire up AutoCAD, start the polygon command, specify 5 sides, circumscribed inside a circle then draw the polylines from point to point of the pentagon and trim as necessary. Which I have needed to do a time or two.

If you have AutoCad...lol this is manual. And also neat since you basically only need a compass and a straight edge.

I'm not arguing that, it's just that my brain obviously skews to the thing I've been doing every day for 20 years now. :p
