These look very similar to the new ones gfc is doing?

It doesn’t look like it would sit entirely flat against the square bar though.

Well I just ordered my extrusion and of course I'm the idiot who had to go 102" rather than 100" which cost an extra $71 for 2 inches

But I'm 6'3 and buy once cry once

Im on the short spectrum and went 94" from Tnutz since extra charges started at 96". I think it saved me like 300 bucks almost. Crazy the upcharges past a certain size.

has anyone looked into doing a hinge design similar to the Westfalia design

I'm looking at doing something like this hoping to create extra space around the foot

Just saw that SendCutSend is now offering ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) which is what MetalMax/Alupanel is.

So, you can upload your CAD files and they cut and ship them to your door.

Wonder what that would run. Great alternative for those that don’t have access to a big CNC.

Their max size is 46”x46”, not big enough for full panels or anything

*******SOLD******Anybody interested in buying the top half wedge off my camper? I bought it unfinished from another TW member and really like it but I've decided to put a RTT on top. The wedge is mechanically complete but the tent portion isn't. I have ordered all the tent material and everything needed for the tent portion. I haven't decided on a price yet, wanted to see if anyone is interested. I'm in the San Diego area but I can drive a little if someone wanted to meet somewhere. I'll take measurements tomorrow and look at everything I have and what's on order. -Brett******SOLD********

shipping would suck on large panels. Its probably only worthwhile and cost effective to get them cut locally to the build to be honest.

They just emailed back, 47x95 is the biggest they can do.

Big enough for the sides, which is nice!

I know there was some discussion about roof racks a few pages back, but has anyone put one on a Ripcord camper yet? Looking for a space case/ski rack and to haul 4-6 sheets of plywood (wont open in that scenario) for work on occasion. Has anyone bumped up the upper frame size for this? Would 2" suffice?

Getting ready to start on one of these in February '21. Anyone in Denver finished one besides Ripcord?

2" square tubing is going to be beefy. 1.5" is pretty stout.

oh, sweet. I pulled the smaller dimension from their site.

Did they give a price for something that large?

Anyone else have issues with sealing top portion of the wedge to bottom? I am using the seal and just added another thinner one that fits into the top slot. I’ve also noticed that the gas struts have bulged the top section slight. There is a noticeable curvature to the top section where the strut pushes up against.

the bulge is why ripcord recommends the latches on the side to pull it back down.

@Ripcord or anyone else using Southco latches... Were you able to get them keyed the same (for all 6)? I can only find them in packs of 2 and don't want to fiddle with 3 separate keys for each side!

Yeah I have one per side and two on the back. I think I’m going to add one more per side.
