Yeah there's something about it that sets jt apart from everything else in my collection. And every once in a while it's exactly what I want.

Lol. I mean, I've played trombone off and on since 6th grade, it wasn't all musical

Last time I played was 2019 when I went to visit some friends and play in their big band jazz band for Memorial Day. Miss it, even though I probably sounded awful. There's something about seeing people dance to the noises you're making thats a whole lot of fun.

    That must be rewarding!
I don't have a musical bone in my body. I played the flute in Junior High but I never really got it.

Probably too busy looking at all the pretty lady flute players  I know we had a couple in high school that would have really been distracting had I not been condemned to the back row.

It was a bright spot for the time I spent out there (in west tx). Small band, lots of great people, and a band leader that spent the bulk of his musical career in the Army band. We did everything from big band swing to patriotic stuff, and a christmas show where the local dance teacher would bring all her kids to the concert and we'd back them up while they danced. Then at Memorial Day we always did a gig for the local WWII museum where they'd put on a big dinner for donors and such, and we'd play era-appropriate music. Good times.

    Thanks!

We used to play this one from time to time. The band leader introduced me to Bobby Hackett's music - he'd listen to it at work on lunch breaks. Good stuff.
