There were a few, the deal was all vehicles made after 2004 were required to have tire pressure sensors. When I worked there it was an option for high end vehicles that had run flat tires. Saw a bunch of c4 corvettes with an add on setup that was huge! Big steel band on the inside of the rim with a 4 oz sensor.

The deal with all of the new vehicles having nitrogen filled tires isn’t for tire life. It’s because nitrogen is clean and doesn’t have moisture or debris that could damage the electronics in the sensors.

We used to run nitrogen in go cart tires when we raced, supposedly kept them cooler.

We used to run it in bagged trucks, kept the valves cleaner and was faster up and down.

Iirc there weren’t very many runways big enough for that one?

Your guy there reminds me of the one that told me he could do a coolant flush on a 69 bug in an hour! I had a bug and wanted proof...

I used dry nitro for years in HVAC. Presure a system for a leak test at say 100#, the pressure would not change if there was no leak. Even if it was left for days, and the ambient temp changed a lot the reading would stay the same.

When I was talking to the sales guy I bought my taco from we were joking about the sudden acceleration problems Toyota was having. We had used this sales guy for years. Real good guy.

He looks at me and dead pans.

At Toyota we stand behind our vehicles.

Because we sure won’t stand in front of them.

Man that’s some bullshit. My boss bought tire warranty for his TRD Camry, and on our last day in San Antonio, the car got an irreparable flat. Argued with the dudes at the dealership until noon when they decided to call the dealership where my boss bought his car since “the warranty doesn’t show in our system”

Middle finger out to John @ Alamo Toyota for the horrible service and shady operation he had going on there
