Look at the shear strength of a single bolt. You can hand your truck from one of them, if it's a static (not a jerk) pull. Stronger than most would think it is, I bet.

That was the motivation behind the stripes. Taped off the hood and made a cardboard template, my wife scanned the design in and cut them out.

I believe they are the XL’s although I’m not 100%. They should be getting in tomorrow, if I get off work early at all this week you can bet they’ll be on the truck! I’ll definitely post pics on here as soon as I can for everyone

Honestly, you are probably right. I freely admit that I am probably over thinking it but they just didn't feel right to me. But then again, I don't know that much. The one I ordered is rated and so I feel a bit better about it. It will be interesting to see how it feels installed. For the vast majority of situations, if I have to pull someone out of the snow or a side ditch I will use back of the truck ... but wanted something strong in case I needed to use the front.

Good observation! I know a lot of people have been questioning their strength seeing they were not given a rating, and only use one bolt. But as you say, it looks like they wrap around the back of the frame. So like you say depending on the plane or angle of the pull, more bolts aren't necessarily going to do a whole lot! Looks like the strength comes from the design of wrapping the frame!

This is where I just don't know enough. They actually don't wrap around the frame. They wrap around a piece that attaches to the frame. Not sure what that piece is, though.

But you are right. Any strength they do have is attributed to them wrapping around the sub frame (or what ever that is called). If they attached or wrapped around the frame I would go for it. My understanding -- rudimentary as it is -- is that the only one that actually attaches to the frame is the one made by ARB. I thought about that one (and it is pricey) but wasn't sure I could install it. So I just went with the simplicity of three bolts and a rated recovery point is better than one. Arbitrary, I know ! But that is all I got.

    :)

Ah, I see. Not too heavy: Prinsu rack, rear steel bumper, avid front bumper guard, tyger side steps, roll n lock bed cover, and that's about it for the added weight.

Yea, I think I'm going to contact my bank to dispute the charge. And then buy a TRD Pro skid plate instead :D

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
Its actually just an indoor/outdoor temp/humidity station. Needed to replace my really old one and liked that it's really easy to read across the room and different colors for indoor/outdoor temps.

    Minor stuff.
Installed my switch pro and Meso custom panel on Sunday since it was so nice out. Just have my radios and PIAA fog lights hooked up. Gotta clean up the wiring inside the engine but it’s in before the snow storm this week.
And today I ordered my Rigid Industries chase lights for my bed rack.

I just left off the unused 2 bolts. Is there any reason why they should be reinstalled? Only thing I could see is to perhaps keep mud and water out of the holes... Not sure if that is worth the effort of buying replacement bolts though.D0D223B5-E801-44BB-BA36-79B745DBBC28.jpg

That’s honestly the only reason I installed them. just to keep mud and water out.

Added hose clamp to tailgate on Saturday. Interior LEDs came yesterday and installed them last night. Big difference. After work today putting the plow on for what may come Wednesday and Thursday.

I would try some other avenues like a tune or gears. The CAI won't do it.

What lift/tires. Looks good. I'm about to lift myself now that I've paid it off. Been an expensive year for truck mods. Pushing the lift/tires to next year.
