And Rex sort of helped. For a while....

Presto chango. Not that big of a deal, but after driving with the yellow fogs down low (non-DOT) during the trip down South, I decided that that bright flood pattern just won't do on a cloudy day as a "driving light", and no real good DOT yellow pods went on sale, so, it was time for a switcheroo. That's what I made those new brackets for yesterday. What's yellow, will be the white DOT cut-off fogs, and vice-versa.

The new brackets got bent so that the mounting arm actually faces back in the cutout, and THIS time I just about got it perfect. Almost.

I thought I put matching connectors on all those wires the last time I did this, and I DID! Plug and play almost. And function check is good.

The extension on the back is so that I can get enough of the pod out of the cutout to actually adjust the level. The inside hex is tightened "firm", and the outside lets me adjust then tighten down.

So, all the wiring put away and wrapped up again, and I won't have to work in the rain and wind tomorrow.

And, there. I did a truck thing again this week.

Well I was going to hunting cabin to close it up but it's not that important to do it today...especially when you can't see 10' in front of you!
That's a screen shot from my dash camera.

    Evening all:
Looks like we are in for a major snowstorm, heck, people can't even drive on 1" of snow around here anymore let alone a foot or more!
There were 2 accidents right around my house with an inch of snow the other day, one snapped off a telephone pole and ended up in the woods, and the other one hit a bunch of medium size rocks around a rock garden that is next to a neighbors driveway that's just up the road from me, they had just constructed that rock garden this year.
So far that's 3 different poles that have been hit in about a 100 yd. stretch of my property along the road, plus at least 3 other accidents that I know of, there will be more!

Must be all the Texans that moved there. They can't do snow down here.

    Welcome to the group!!!

Good morning, everyone! Got back last night from a short trip to Florida so now in self-quarantine for a bit before we can get tested for COVID. We had planned a trip over a year ago to celebrate milestone birthdays (Lynn and I 65 and my sister and her husband 70) by meeting at Disney and drinking around the world at Epcot. Mission accomplished!! After a warm-up Yuengling about 11:30 we began with a Le Fin du Monde in Canada and ended up about 10 PM with a Bass Ale in England. We did a bunch of research and found Disney was really clean and focused on safety - masks everywhere unless you were eating and social distancing in lines and only running at about 30% capacity.

Back to reality with a chance of a major snow storm on Wednesday.

You can do exactly that in most, even the Prius.

Sounds like a fun trip Mark. Heck, can't even get the wife to go support a little local establishment.

Good Morning Porch! :fistbump: Well, I woke to find my little shed pump heater contraption worked, and it didn't work. Waiting for Mr. Sun to come out and prove me correct. Temp was matching outdoors, so I checked and found the load side of 12V all gone! :annoyed: Apparently, it worked enough to completely drain the 2 batteries overnight! So, if the temp is still below 45* when I get some solar charging, that will prove out. I have lots of little space heaters and cords though.....

Good morning everyone. Looks like we're in for a big snowstorm tomorrow into Thursday - as much as a foot of snow is projected at this point. Be safe out there!!

    Morning all:

They are predicting that it is possible that some parts of Pa might hit the jackpot with 2' or more and could be up to 30" in some areas, will see!

I'm currently a member of the 50's club on TW.....but alas today I'm moving to this group of old geezers due to my mother popping me out 60 years ago. Remember kids your only as old as you think you are my life has not slowed down one damn bit between the motorcycles, snowmobiles, my Tacoma, the skirts chasing me down (daddy issues im shure) running around with the 20yo kids on dirt bikes, sooner or later im going to run outta talent riding something fast & die either way it's been one hellova ride.

PS I wished it would snow so I can go sking.......damned rocks are no fun

Thier should be an 80yo group on here so dad can have somewhere to bitch.
