    Good stuff!

I just want to reiterate that Constant Load ride height may come close to Performance by removing 2 leafs, but they are still very different spring rates. Looking at my 4+2 Constants (2 removed) against the 5(?)+2 Performance on my friends’ rigs, you can even see how much more arch I’ve got. Not to mention still sitting higher.

    Good luck y’all.

    Ay carumba, thanks @Devir7 / @Superhulk LB .. I totally walked past that !!

As per the spreadsheet, spring seat height of 9.5 in = 3” lift and 9 in = 2” lift
^ Is this for the part TOY065B performance coil? Or is it the same coil and they just adjust seat height to compensate for the load specs? (IE: constant vs. performance)

Regardless, this approximation really, REALLY! depends upon the loaded weight of the axles. Most weigh stations, since meant for big rigs, won’t give a tacoma-sized truck an axle by axle weight reading. You would have to go to a specialty, RV-type weigh station that can adjust the scales to match the vehicles wheelbase.

Probably unnecessary to go that far. I just used the $8 cat scales to give me an overall picture of the + factory weight I was at (plus considering future mods) and then really only determining things like bumpers & winches to affect the axles separately.

To contribute, I have the following...
    Model
: 3rd Gen Double Cab Short Bed, rear seats removed, factory bumpers
Middle/Rear weight: + 550 lbs: Prinsu cab rack, overland gear, Leer 180 & platform sleeper
Not sure if the weight of the suspension will count towards its own load ratings...

IM4X4 Rear leaf: Constant, in effect.. performance (deletion of 5th and 3rd leaf)
IM4x4 Front coil: Performance.. adjusted to XX inch — *Pending adjustment

    BEFORE AND AFTER MEASUREMENTS
    + Front lift: 4.25-4.5” // Rear lift: 2-2.25”

    (pending spring height adjustment)
Driver front after: 24.25 // Pass front after: 24
Driver rear after: 24 // Pass rear after: 24.25

Driver spring seat height: 9.125 inch
Pass spring seat height: 9.0 inch

Keep in mind the taco lean.. driver side spring height is (1/8”) greater to compensate.

For the TOYO65B the lift would be 2.5” when using the measurements in the attached document.

Oh, that’s a new one. The one I used had Hilux on it still. Good to see it’s updated but I would not put mine at that setting.. well knowing what I know now anyway

    Just for another comment...

I didn’t have Ironman assemble them. The show that installed assembled them.
Don’t ask me numbers because I don’t know... I forgot to take measurements and then forgot the shop to take measurements. I love my ride height right now though

I am having my raised another half inch on Friday and will take measurements. I think it will out me right around or just shy of 9” from center point to spring seat. I believe it will have given me 2” of lift over factory maybe 2.25”.

Oh there will be some mods all right
Not apples to apples, but more food for thought for lift amounts. The lift for my frontier says 2" on their website. I forgot to measure before I installed :frusty: but I can assure you the rear is not 2" As for the front, I read and reread the PDF like 5 times and had my Dad read it as well. We did what it said to achieve the 2" and it was like halfway up the threads which I was unsure about, but I've never had adjustable coilovers before so we went with it. Fast forward to lowering the jack and the suspension literally didn't compress. It was 5+ inches of lift and stiff as a board. Had to take them out and just put them where my gut said in the first place. It gave me ~2" (still wish I would have measured before.) Come spring I'm going to turn them up a tad more to better align with the ~3.5" in back.

So I took some new measurements after the lowering of the front 5/8.

    Driver Front 22 1/4
    Driver Rear 22 3/8
    Passenger Front 22 5/8
    Passenger Rear 22 3/4

Original measurements after the lift were

    Driver Front 23 5/8
    Passenger Front 23 1/2
    Driver Rear 23
    Passenger Rear 22 13/16

All measure from the center of the wheel bore to the fender well.

The original measurements no lift were:
    21 1/8 passenger front
    20 3/4 driver front
    20 1/8 passenger rear
    20 1/2 driver rear

All of these measurements were taken with 37psi tire pressure and a full tank of gas. Bed had a consistent 350-400lbs in it with the bed rack/kuat basket/tepui 3person tent.

Also here are some pictures of the cv axle angles. They are wayyyyy better than before. I do seem to have a noticeable vibration at 48mph only. I’ll try to strap a GoPro under the rig this weekend to view the carrier bearing. It could also possibly be related to the new wheels and improper tire balance. I’ll keep you all updated.4F062D0A-B615-4114-92CA-25735133A5E2.jpg1E8C1DD0-BAA9-49C9-B8C1-ED94ADABCABC.jpg

After looking over the numbers the rear did settle about 1/4 to 3/8. My odometer shows me having 937 miles on the lift so far.

Those CV Axels look really good for what it’s worth. That’s pretty close to where I hope to end up after my adjustment up Friday.

Not to speak for Ironman but my guess is "set them to average 3" of lift". Taco owners have always had what is IMO an insane fixation on the 3" lift mark and early on it became the standard. Never mind that a Taco's front end geometry, performance, and longevity will never be right without UCAs and that their trucks will ride like crap with adjustable shock systems. Always blew my mind and made functional lift upgrades hard to find.

Wow- Busy day in here today!! All helpful though! I'm right around a week away from installation and am back to mind-fucking myself... All these measurements and different results are gonna drive me mad.
From what I'm seeing in the past couple pages, I believe I have mine set too high. I ordered a spanner/hook wrench that was mentioned earlier in this thread, hoping to be able to drop them after installation and seeing what they look like. Understand its not "ideal" to drop them while installed, but not going to deal with back and forth Christmas week to get them compressed and adjusted.
Thanks for all the pictures and insights, Keep them coming!

If you guys have Instagram, recommend that IM join TW. I think they would be a great addition here. I did and sent a link to this thread... and also asked about the upcoming Tacoma armor.

I rarely go out and when I do I park away from people. Most times I only see other Tacoma’s driving... always hoping to see a Midnight black with a scoop so I can leave them a note to see if they want to trade.

I’ll get measurements tomorrow. But got the front raised up and it looks way better. CV angles look good too. Now I have a squeak when the wheel drop(vs going over a bump) got to figure that out.
