Those with JBA UCAs, how did you reattach the abs wire? There is a hole drilled for the mount, but there's no way it will reach without modifying the bracket. Are yall just using zipties?

I used a zip tie cable clamp. It's a work truck, not a show queen, so it's dirty.

Adel clamp, probably the best choice, especially if you get the marine variety (non-rusting stainless steel).

Yes sir, good eye. Need to be within reception to work, but want to be out far enough to get away from everything.

Careful when fussing with the wire. I was installing my spc's and I think I mightve accidentally tugged it too hard when reinstalling, now my ABS light won't turn off.

Technically yesterday, but I sent her to the transmission shop to get a replacement transmission. :spending:

Last week I got stuck in some soft sand, and as I was easing my way out in reverse the transmission grenaded itself. I lost reverse entirely, but didn't lose (some) gears in drive. Got pulled out of the sand by some friendly neighborhood Jeep Grand Cherokees, managed to drive back to terra firma under my own power. The shop claims that's a miracle due to the amount of shredded gear teeth that fell out when they checked the fluid. So much for my holiday plans..

    EDIT: Automatic transmission. What fun!

Did you have to remove your old skid plate for this install?

No, I really didn't push it hard before the big bad sounds began. Since I bought this truck used I've found that a lot on it hasn't been in the best shape. My thought is that it was on its last legs before I went to the beach that day, and getting stuck was the straw that broke the camel's transmission.

I'm not a fan of these but I have to admit it does look better on your truck!
