Probably not the same design he's making, but Iggy has shown one on his truck on IG

Anderson is making a cool flatbed design. I’m really looking forward to his project.

We’re no strangers to flatbeds. Recognize this truck from page 1? This is Phils truck.

I think most new prospective buyers want to know simple things like dimensions and weight for each configuration (SB vs. LB, windoor options, Goose Gear interior).

I can, and I will. But right now all I have is shiny metal...
yup. It’s been a helluva “deal” alright.

And Phil’s original V1 is the entire reason I’ve gotten into this mess. Someday, I’ll have mine finished.

I'd add the bed rail caps how to, 2nd gen vs 3rd gen.

And mention of needing an @Anderson bullet cover if you're running slimmer bed rail caps for a 2nd gen (and if it applies, 3rd gens).

Please cover the tent insulation package, how it looks, when it will be available, and how its installed/removed. Mention the gas struts and how they can be upgraded. Any updates on the solid rear hatch?

If we're dreaming, I'd love an AT Habitat style rear door. Full 1/8" aluminum frame, solid latches.

Now that this thread has gotten quite long, would it be worth creating and maintaining a new thread to capture all of these questions and answers? It seems like something we could all pitch in on to support VO. I could read back through the thread and put all the answers in the first post. What do you think?

Exactly what I am dreaming off, a solid aluminum rear door with flat latches. Would be awesome if the corners where the hatch meets the tailgate would get sealed as the area is prime for water to leak in there when washing the truck, I always have to be mindful not to spray in there.

A short how it's made bit with some pics
How it's installed and what you need or is recommended to do before installation

I would also support a link at the front of this post for all the FAQ's that have been answered a time or two through these pages.

Anyone with HD leaf packs pay close attention to exactly how much their suspension compressed after the install? Trying to make sure I've got the ride height I want after the install, and adding a leaf post drifter install might end up being a PIA for me.

Mine compressed a bit. I’ll have to search for the before/after pics I took. But that was just after initial install. Some months later with consistent weight and complete build out I had to ask Deaver to redo my custom pack

edit: good thing for google photos.

    After

But like I said, that can all change later down the road because of several different factors

Was thinking of doing something similar, but i'm looking at purcha
I measured my right before installing my Drifter and right after the install. Same day at VB headquarters. I was running HD OME leaf pack.

I lost 3/4" in the rear after the install.

When I got home I ordered an extra leaf and made my Heavy OME leaf pack extra heavy. I installed them on my own in less than 1.5 hours. Gain over 1" back. They do quite well with the Drifter with no interior build out. No regrets.

i have been running deaver stage III for the last 16 months after my ome HD pack was flat with my previous set up (shell and regular rtt) im not sure if they tweaked them after others were having problems with their custom packs or that i am just light enough (no interior build out) - but they have been performing great for me - not greatest pics but a couple weeks ago, loaded
