The FJ is ~1" narrower than the Tacoma. I am installing Hiems in my uppers to get the camber back into spec. With cams all the way in, i was at minus 2.3 and 3. I don't know about the 4runners, if they are the same as the FJ or the Tacoma. Or if there are any differences between my long travel kits and yours.

@81Trekker At one point you mentioned a wheel well/fender support replacement. You still thinking about going that route? What was the plan for the batter?

Is it going to be something that completely gets rid of the factory inner fender structure and wheel well?

Yes the entire inner fenders will be removed and a new fabricated pieces will be made with a lot more clearance so you can get all the uptravel with big tires. It will also have radiator core support bracing to keep it from ripping apart along with a beefy dual battery mount setup and additional mounts for things like aftermarket fuse blocks and ARB compressors

Between that, fabbed spindles, front, AND rear L/T, sounds like my 2021 paychecks are spoken for :spending:

Very interested especially since I need to make a whole new core support structure anyways.

And you should see the upper radiator support. There is a lot of movement going on with in the core support when on the trails.

Even the hood latch.. Fixed with one from a 90's Corolla from Pick A Part..

My latch snapped off lost it on the trail. Ratchet strapped the hood closed for the ride home. Put hood pins in well now the area that I put the hood pins where the old rubber stoppers are have completely torn away from the main structure. Hood now wants to pull those out. So back to the ratchet strap again

I have some ideas floating for some new front end stuff. Would be cool to incorporate an already made product to keep the time down some in making what I want/need.

What's the point in going fast if you still have to watch out for cops?

No hood pins for me until I figure out a proper way to fix all this. I have a piece of 1/2" flat that fits inside a channel in this corner held in place with a fastener on both sides of it. The passenger side has very recently cracked all the way across as well..

I've got a few more wheeling trips to keep ripping mine apart, I just don't have the batter falling out and wheel wells ripping (from jumping???) like was already posted.
