Good evenin Matt! Thanks buddy, it was a big job but I think the truck is liking it so far. Feels a little torquier when I mash the skinny pedal now.

The real winner here is my peace of mind though. I’ve been paranoid to really drive the truck hard up until now since the motor swap. That has all changed now, I am really enjoying the truck finally:D

How are things up your way man? Everyone staying healthy?

That great to hear, ya we’re all fatter and happy as can be truck stuff has basically stopped been pursuing other hobbies currently. I’ll get back into swapping stuff on the truck in the spring more than likely I’d like to get front kings again and maybe a front locker.

That’s good duder, glad everyone is well. What kinda things have you been chasing lately? Is your shooting/guns hobby chewing up the truck mod budget again lol

Ahhhh yes, that is only fitting, it’s been too long since you’ve swapped shocks haha. Gonna go with an ARB or some other flavor? And still running the truetrac out back? I owe you big for leading me to the LSD, it has been one of my favorite mods

Thanks ya the pew pew stuff has been a fun venture finally got the setup I like it’s not cheap.

I’ll go with a harrop electric setup more than likely with Sohail, Chris, and you having all the minor issues I don’t want that headache.
Yes sir still rocking the trutrac it’s there to stay been one of the best investments for the truck by far, glad it’s working out great for ya.:fistbump:

We’ll have to goto range sometime it’s a lot of fun.

I can see how that’d be an expensive rabbit hole to venture down, but i bet it’s lots of fun to build/customize your own setup. I have always only had hunting rifles and shotguns, but i can see how it could become pricey once you’re hooked:D

Yeah I don’t blame you there, that’s probably a smart move. Too many moving pieces with an Air locker imo. I feel bad that Chris is having issues with it too now though. When we traded I thought we found the smoking gun which was a bad o-ring on one of the solenoids at the time. I had a seal that went bad in it (ARB had a defective batch) but ECGS built me a new diff and warrantied so I thought that was remedied. The issue I encountered was not holding the seal and releasing pressure out of the diff breather

What kind of issues did Sohail have with his? I didn’t realize issues were so common. I usually only read good things about them on here

We will have to do that sometime man. I’ll let you know if I’m ever heading up to the Austin area and maybe we can iron out the deets:thumbsup:

Hey there buddy, how are things down your way?

Yeah I’ve been working on a few different things trying to stay busy lately. Finally getting stuff dialed in just right though finally. Have almost 2000 miles since the motor swap and it’s running great

Been well, not much going on. Been using my taco as the mobile hunting camp when possible.

Happy with how the engine swap has turned out?

That’s good to hear, not much going on here either. Do you have a sleeping platform in the back? That’s the perfect size truck for a camping/hunting rig.

Yes i’m happy with the end result and really glad I stuck with another 2TR-FE. I’m looking forward to taking the old one apart and learning how to rebuild it. It’ll be a good project and hopefully I don’t mess anything up too bad, I’m going to try to do my homework beforehand

Yeah I made a platform almost two years ago. 00C263D9-9130-4E14-8449-98ABBCA3F019.jpg

Rebuilding sounds fun, really having the right tools helps a lot.

    Good evening yall!

I added a water/methanol 40 micron filter today. zip tied it behind the air box to the ABS pump. Also swapped grilles out for the thin lip satoshi one I made a while back. Today I was looking at all of the vacuum hoses and it’s a real mess, so I ordered a billet aluminum vibrant vacuum block to use to clean up all the t-fittings.

I have a t-fitting in the vac lines for the boost gauge, snow controller, MAPECU3, bypass valve, and blow off valve. Hopefully having them all routed to one place won’t cause any issues
