Yea I will at some point probably. But at the same time, only 3 bolts is less chrome than 6.

Not done yet, but I started putting together a Switchpros 9100 on a powertray.

I absolutely cannot recommend power trays highly enough.
Edit: seriously, if you're going to get a switchpros or spod... Get a power tray and purchase the accessory bundle. The quality is fantastic, and it saves a hilarious amount of time

good thing you don’t have an 18’ and up. TSS turned a simple windshield install into a project. Had to call insurance company, then windshield place, then a company to recalibrate the TSS then back to the tint shop.

I’m assuming the rear main oil seal was covered under the 5 year 60k powertrain warranty? How many miles did you have on your truck?

I know stuff happens but disappointing to hear the rear main started leaking as you appear to have a 2017.

Way back in the day the head gaskets on my brand new 1992 Toyota truck failed twice in the 2nd or 3rd year and Toyota Canada repaired them both times under warranty. I owned the truck for 14 years with no other major issues. I just purchased a 2020 Taco after a 14 year hiatus of owing another vehicle so I’m hoping for another good ownership experience.

    Some stuff
I had a piece of electrical tape covering the high beam indicator light in my old Audi (86 4kq). Anytime I used the highbeams I felt blinded by my dash lights. Otherwise that car had a real dim setting to it. For my Tacoma I’ve already switched out to red leds for my interior, and now I’m gonna piece of red tape over the little light that shines on the Qi charger.

Ooo wow. Didn’t know these motors were blowing up. That sucks at 67k. Let us know what it’s going to cost to fix. You going to fix it yourself or send it out?

No Sh**! This is the third time I have heard of one of our engines just blowing up. No abuse either, just kaboom. Never heard of that issue with the 2nd gen motors. Slightly disappointing to say the least.

Looks awesome! Mine arrives tomorrow. Hoping it’s not too bad of an install.
