My wiring harness connector for the Power Windows is defective/melted. I have looked everywhere online and cant find a replacement connector. I paid $600 for the mechanic to install a new motor/regulator/master switch and a week later it stopped working and they found out the connector is the issue. Anyone have any ideas?

Is there a 5 digit number on the connector anywhere? Toyota does service connectors, but it helps to that number. Look around where the wires attach for it.

You can buy the connector, either OEM or Ballenger motor sports. I hope you didn’t pay a mechanic that much to change the switches, it takes about 45 seconds, I’ve removed them while driving haha. Let me see if I can dig up the Toyota Electrical guide, and we can find your connector part number. Once you have that you can see if Ballenger has it plus the pins, or you ha r to go to Toyota. Get the pins at Ballenger either way.

The number is on the back of the connector where the wires go in, as long as yours isn’t too trashed you should see it.

Pretty sure it's the one with the question mark in the picture.
You will probably need a repair wire for that connector too. You can find that part number in the same pdf.

They kill you on the repair wires, they are like $12/each, the pins are under 25 cents each at Ballenger, then just crimp on to your existing wire. I keep a stock of pins, as these trucks get older they get random connector problems occasionally

Yep, same here. Not everyone has the crimping tools though.

Very true, I faked it for a while with a normal crimp tool and it works fine with a little dressing up. The Weather Pack/MetriPak crimp tools work really well.

See my post above- Ballenger motor sports. I’m guessing you need their part number CONN-100667 however I would call them to verify, there are a bunch of different Sumitomo pins available
Edit- actually might be CONN-100800. Call them to confirm

Nice! Glad they hooked you up! I wish they had a guide with what Toyota connectors/parts they carried, it is tricky to figure out what works.

Has anyone on here replaces the whole wire harness? My passenger window stopped working on my 2000 and after changing the switches and checking the motor I found the issue was cut wires in-between the door jam.
