All the mods; all the problems
They're not sketchy per say but it is a mud terrain after all. Mine did pretty damn good in snow and hard pack. Icy stuff sucked.

We just got back from New Mexico where we ran through just about every type of environment possible this time of year. Rain sleet snow dust mud and my geo mt never lost traction or questioned my faith in them -even in the snow (where mt’s tend to loose their glitz and glam). Road noise has been minimal, brand new they were quieter than my Ko2’s. Granted, lifespan wear is an important detail in that comparison, but for a MT, that says alot, especially for how aggressive the lug pattern is.
I did alot of reading and watching of reviews and I kept coming back to these 1)reviewed performance 2)price 3)size availability. I feel like I found them at a time when they weren’t as popular so I got them at a decent price versus the other hybrid mt type tires that are over my budget. Any which way, these things have performed without flaw and will most likely continue to get mounted on my truck till I find something better.

Oh yea I bought the skinny 235’s before my 2 week trip I’m on right now. I’ve put 7K miles on them (I’ve only had them on for one month lol) and they’ve been phenomenal! Barely a tad louder on the highway than my Duratracs and night and day difference off road. I visited Telluride 2 days ago during a winter storm and I was sliding all over town. Probably a mixture of driver skill (hick from AL can’t drive in snow) and being a mud terrain but that’s the only negative thing I’ve noticed about them on the trip. I’ll be getting the 255’s once these wear out

We were doing the NMBDR, New Mexico Back Country Discovery Route. It starts at the Colorado boarder and travels through most of the national parks and forests down to the southern boarder. Its pretty epic and gets the most true diversity experience out of New Mexico. “Not all scorpians and sand dunes.” We started calling NM ‘Colorado jr.’

The tires were flawless in mud, clay, soft sand, clay mud and hard pack. Here are a couple pics. I will have the trail ride video up on the channel during the week. I purposely did a slow roll through some mud in the video in order to show the lugs moving through the mud.

Finally got some dirt on my new 285/75r156s today. Definitely happy with them. It was a mix of dirt, mud, 2-3" of ice/crunchy snow and some ice. They handled everything as well as I could have hoped for.

Thanks man. Yes in some spots it was quite slick. Created a couple of high pucker factor moments.

What kind of MPGs are y’all getting with these? I’m getting 16.5-17.5 with the 235/85/16. Used to get 18-19 with the Duratracs and the same setup (armor, sliders, RTT, bumpers)

I'm looking at these in 285/70/17 pretty hard. I noticed some pics of this size are on a 7" wide wheel (TRD Pro 4runner). Yoko's website says 7" is too narrow, but @Discount Tire website says it ok. Any thoughts? Thanks

@rdlmac thanks. You're the one I was referring to with the wheel width. Gonna have to pull the trigger.
