    Hello Tacoma World
    I am new to this, not sure how its done but will give it a try. I have a 2015 Tacoma double cab 4X4, and every so often, when braking going downhill, the transmission will downshift to a lower gear on its own. I have been trying to take notice of when it happens so as I can tell the service person about how and when it occurs. Has anyone else noticed that happen? If so, what if anything was done to fix it?

    Thats a good thing, unless its dropping you into 1st at 55 mph, it will help you save your brakes. Pretty normal for that to happen.

    Thanks to all, it eases my mind. This is the first automatic in a Tacoma, I have had two pre-tacomas and one first generation, all 5 speed manuals, gee I miss a stick.

    Your fuel injectors also turn off when you coast or let your foot off the gas pedal . If its your first 2nd gen Tacoma , the delceleration can really be fealt in the drivers seat . Takes a couple months of driving to get use to it .
